DOTS AND BOXES Strategic games can be fun and simple. Dots and boxes – also known as paddocks and square-it – achieves both. This “pencil and paper” game is made for two players. Take turns connecting two side-by-side dots with either a horizontal or vertical line. Whoever completes a square by drawing the fourth side claims it with an initial and gets another turn. Whoever has the highest number of boxes at the end of the game is the winner.

Campus Center the Center of Campus
The Campus Center Board (CCB), “Your Student Union,” wishes to extend our sincere hope that you enjoy this issue of Ka Leo and have fun with all the games. Our mission is to provide students with facilities, programs and events that make university life a fantastic time that will forever remain in your memories. With that said, we would also sound a note of caution about drinking games. By nature, these games tend to lead to excessive alcohol consumption, which can have tragic consequences, ranging from acting out, to sexual assault, DUIs and alcohol poisoning. We are not attempting to act as your parents, but it is our hope and concern that you remain safe and healthy. Just remember consuming alcohol under the age of 21 is a crime, as a minimum you could be faced with university discipline, or be arrested and spent some time in jail. If you do plan to engage in drinking games, make sure that everyone is of age, and please have someone as a designated driver and to watch over the party to insure it does not cause problems. Again, the CCB is not attempting to preach to you, we truly want to see everyone stay safe and have a great time here at UHM!
