Cultural Tour of Japan 12 Days/11 Nights DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TOKYO, KYOTO Meet your assistant at Narita Airport and transfer to your Kyoto hotel on a shared coach. Relax at the hotel and enjoy walkable Japanese-style restaurants in the area. DAY 2: KYOTO Today, visit some of Kyoto’s most famous sights and lesser-known treasures with a professional guide and private coach. Start off the day at Nijo Castle, built by the founder of the Edo Shogunate, the ornamental walled castle grounds are surrounded by stunning gardens. Then on to Japan’s most well-known rock garden Ryoan-ji, and get a glimpse of Zen Buddhist tradition as you gaze onto the famously precisely arranged stones. Next, venture to Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion. Today’s lunch will be at traditional Machiya house
DAY 6: TOKYO Today after a breakfast, board your private day coach with guide. Enjoy a stroll at the peaceful Hamariyku garden followed by a Japanese green tea. Then a short cruise along the sumida river to see the Tokyo from different angle. Next, head over to Asakusa - home of the grand temple of Senso-ji! Enjoy sushi or ramen for lunch at the local restaurant. Continue your journey to Tokyo National Museum. Afterward, stroll around the famous Ueno park and through the bustling Ameyoko market. DAY 7: TOKYO Free day at leisure on your final night to Tokyo: Final night dinner on a boat by the river.
DAY 8: NOTO PENINSULA Transfer to airport on a private coach to take a morning flight from Haneda This afternoon, take a stroll in Kyoto’s most charming airport to Noto Peninsula.
