Today when I got back from school my parents sat my 2 older brothers Josh and Austin me and my younger brother Fletcher down and said…… WHERE MOVING TO CALIFORNIA!!!We were all so excited not just to move, but to CALFORNIA! We started talking and saying all the different things we want to do in California! I said we can go to Hollywood and meet famous actors! Fleter says we can go to Disneyland! And my brothers say we can eat California food!?Today Saturday, we are moving our stuff into a big truck that’s coming with us. When we drive to California ,the truck will hold all our clothes and blankets. I get 10 boxes with my name, ALEX, on it in big letters. I pack my shirts, shorts, jeans , leggings ,and hoodies. Then my American girl dolls ,basketball trophy’s and stuffed animal’s : Jubaly, my gorilla, Herbert, my pig , Pinzie, my giraffe , and my bulldog Milo. Today is the day we are leaving Allen and moving to California! Our new house is two stories and has a pool and a full basketball court. We are in my dad’s huge ford truck. The drive from Allen to California is like 18 hours! Fletcher and me watch a movie on our portable strap on T.V.’s that is strapped to the back of the seat. Since we both wanted to watch a movie we had to decide on a movie together, so we
decide on the movie Paddington. Then the long drive begins. We reach New Mexico, then Arizonian and then finally California!! We drive threw a straight road with palm trees on either side and big fancy houses. It is beautiful in California. In the distance I could see the sign that California is known for, the big Hollywood sign. In a few more amazing minutes we reached a small, green rectangle with the word Maple drive written on it then we turn, and dead ahead is our new house. It’s awesome, huge! When I got in my eyes are wondering around .I was drooling, gazing at are new beautiful house. On the floor was a note sticking out from underneath the stairs. I bent down and pick it up it reads: Welcome William’s family! We are sharing the house. I hope you like it .I’ve lived here for years and it’s been great! Signed Cemply.
At that point I’m the only one inside. I get kind of freaked out. Who is Cemply? I wonder. But I just put the note in my pocket and ignore it for now. ’When my parents and family walk in they said is everything all right?’ I said yes and change the subject. But the only bad thing about me lying is that my older brother Josh knows when I’m lying. That night I go to my new room to go to sleep. My parents tuck me in then close the door. Immediately I run to my hamper and get the note out of my jean pocket.
I lie down in my bed and read the note again. Thinking who wrote this? Is this person talking about my family? My brother Josh walks in and I put the note in my drawer as fast as I can so maybe he won’t see it. But then he says what’s wrong? I pause. But then spill my guts .When I was walking in I saw a note that said ‘Welcome William’s family’. I started to wonder ‘How did that person know our last name?’ So I got scared but didn’t want to tell mom and dad or they would get upset that I’m scared of the new house. Whooooo that feels better to get off my chest! WHAT??” says Josh, I know.Creepy right?!?! The next day I wake up. It’s Sunday. I always wake up and check to see if all my family is still at home to know if they left for work, or went to school early. First I check on my brothers. Josh, Austin and Fleter are all there. But then I go into to mom and dad’s room. There not there. I look in the bathroom…. not there, Kitchen…. not there. I look every where and there not there. I start getting
worried and run upstairs to tell my brothers. They wake up and luckily Josh can drive so we went straight to my mom’s work, the acting studio. Not there. My dad is a stay- at -home -dad so he is clearly not there . Then we start looking all around California. We immediately think of Disneyland. We go to Disneyland but we don’t have money to get in. When we get there we get threw sacristy and surprisingly get through. Then a shadowy figure said, “Get over here.’’ We ran but then the figure said, ‘If you want your parents come here !”We all paused and went back .The shadowy figure was reflecting off the concrete but we couldn’t see it so we followed it and the shadow lead us to the castle and inside was mom and dad!!But holding a baby?!’Hi guys look! It’s your new baby brother, Tucker!’ WHAT?! We were all so confused. ‘We also met a new friend Cemply the ghost who brought us here!’ What!? So you’re saying a friendly ghost named Cemply brought us and y’all here to meet up because we thought we lost you guys but we really didn’t and in the meantime ya’ll had a baby which means I have a new baby brother named Tucker!? I
said? Yep, pretty much! Oh, Okay! Well know we live happily and share the house with Cemply, and there are five kids now and are chocolate lab Chaplin! My new baby brother, Tucker is so cute and we are all friends with Cemply, the friendly ghost!
