The Runner Today I’m going to talk to you about my early life. I was born with a problem in my leg. Life is horrible when you can not walk like other people.
Trust me. When I was 12 years old I met Melissa we were best friends. One day at recess we were playing dodge ball. The ball hit me on the face. Usually I cry when the balls hit me on the face.
Melissa told me that if you get hit in your face with a ball and not cry, that means you are a fast runner.
By saying this sentence she made me happy and encouraged me to run. Later on, I started practicing running with support from Melissa. Then I found the solution to my problem that is the surgery. The surgery defeated the problem that I had.
Melissa and I were so happy because we were going to join the first step at the Olympics. At the Olympics, I met people that had different problems. I started to learn that my problem wasn't that bad . Then I met my new coach. His name was Steve.
Steve let me enter the second Step at the Olympics. He taught me how to run correctly. In the second step I started racing with other countries. I started winning and that's how I got famous.
About the Author I was born in Iraq. And then I came to Canada. And then I went to America Texas. I’m 9 years old. I speak three and a half languages. Which are; French Arabic English and a little bit of Spanish. I love running. And I love being a kid.
