The Ontario Progressive Conservative Party is severely broken and needs someone from outside its ranks to give it an overhaul, says federal Conservative Member of Parliament Patrick Brown.

event on Jan. 16 at Don Cherry’s Sports Grill in Glen Cairn where Ontario Landowners Association president Tom Black also pledged his support for Brown. “If (the PC party) does anything well, we do a good job of losing,� said MacLaren to the 40 or so people gathered for the event. “We have lost the last four provincial elections with three different leaders, none of whom turned the voters’ cranks.� MacLaren said that he believes Brown can get the voters excited again, but after some big changes. “I think our party is broken,� said Brown. “I think our party needs to clean house.� Both Brown and MacLaren contend that Brown is best placed to do that. “It’s very difficult to change the party if you have been working with these people for six, eight or 10 years,� said MacLaren.
