A community-based committee looking for solutions to overcrowding in Kanata north’s public schools is leaving no stone unturned, said Cathy Briggs, co-chair of the Kanata North Accommodation Review Committee.
Dozens of parents and community members turned out for the public meeting held at Earl of March Secondary School on Thursday, June 16. “The answer is not going to be just one concept,” said Briggs. “I have a feeling its going to be a combination.” After nearly half a year of discussion, the committee drew up a list of seven possible
scenarios to address the problem of overcrowding, including: • Do nothing and wait for construction of a new elementary and high school expected to be built near the corner of Terry Fox Drive and the yet-to-be realigned Goulbourn Forced Road. OVERCROWDING, see 4
