FOOTBALL CLUB
WALTON CASUALS
Walton Casuals Football Club was formed in July 1948, owing its early origins to members of the Armed Forces who formed a Sunday side, having played only friendly fixtures throughout the 1946-47 season. The club commenced its inaugural season in Division 1 of the Surrey Intermediate (Central) League, playing at Elm Grove Recreation Ground. Soon gaining promotion to the Premier Division during the 1952-53 season, Walton Casuals later finished as runners-up on three occasions: 1954-55, 1956-57 and 1964-65. With the disbandment of the Surrey Intermediate (Central) League in 1965, the club opted to move to the league’s Western Section for three seasons.
However, in 1969 Casuals joined the new Surrey Senior League, during which they moved into their recent home at Franklyn Road. Just two years later the Stags become founder members of the Suburban League, and after one season at Walton & Hersham’s Stompond Lane, moved into Liberty Lane at Addlestone for eight seasons. Nonetheless, they soon returned to Franklyn Road – which had remained host to the reserve squad – while playing in the Surrey Combination League Walton Casuals scooped their first major honour during the 1982-83 season, as manager Kim Harris guided the club to become champions of the Southern section of the Suburban League, while also setting a league record of an impressive 23 games unbeaten. Casuals could only manage a second place finish the following year through, falling to Sutton United.

CLUB OFFICERS
The 1986-87 season produced another impressive display as the Stags reached the Surrey Premier Cup Final, but lost to Croydon before falling into a steady decline in subsequent years – regularly finishing in the bottom two of the Suburban League. After 21 years of competing in the Suburban League, the club decided to join the Surrey Premier League in June 1992 in order to compete in the pyramid system. Following a year of consolidation, major changes paved the future of the club at Franklyn Road – notably with the reappointment of Kim Harris as first-team manager.
First Team Manager
With the club expanding into both Sunday and youth football sides in the coming seasons, the club saw greater success in the following years. Lifting the Surrey Premier League Challenge Cup during the 199394 season, defeating Holmesdale after a replay, the club also finished as runners-up to Chobham in the league just one year later. Despite losing to Vandyke in the Surrey Premier League Challenge Cup at the second time of asking, the club was promoted to the Combined Counties League in the summer.
Goalkeeping Coach
However, the progression proved to be a challenge for Casuals. The first four seasons produced treacherous results, and the 1996-97 season saw the side finish bottom of the table. Fortunately, relegation was avoided with the Combined Counties League exercising is prerogative to maintain a minimum number of clubs in the Premier Division. February 1999 produced colossal developments for the club, as with the help of local charities, the installation of floodlights at Franklyn Road was completed – a major step for ground requirements should they progress in the league system. The appointment of Mick Sullivan and Garry Clark as joint managers in the summer of 1999 bought a dramatic improvement in terms of results. As well as a 5th place finish in the league, the club won the League Cup in 2000, beating Viking Greenford 4-2 in the final at Farnborough. The following season was also a relatively successful one, with a placing of 7th in the table and another appearance in the League Cup Final, beaten on this occasion by double-winners Cove 3-0 at Woking. Although 2002-03 proved a disappointment with the club finishing in a lowly 18th spot, the seeds of success had been sown with Spencer Collins taking over as first-team manager in November 2002. As a team capable of much better things slowly begun to take shape, ex-West Ham United and Fulham great Tony Gale was installed as Director of Football. After more team-building in 2003-04 and a big jump up the table to finish in 7th spot, the club took the Combined Counties by storm the ensuing season, finishing an impressive 26 points clear at the top of the table. After initially failing an FA ground inspection, the club launched a successful appeal and achieved their dream of promotion to Ryman League Division One for 2005-06. Finishing the maiden season in 15th place, subsequent seasons saw the club regularly finish in the bottom half. In 2009-10 the club achieved its best run in the FA Cup reaching the 3rd qualifying round. The club appointed Neil Shipperley manager in the summer of 2010 and managed to finish in 12th place, at the time the Stags’ record league finish in history. During early 2011 the club opened a new clubhouse and new changing facilities. Mick Sullivan returned at the helm in October 2011 following the resignation of Neil Shipperley, but was sacked a year later with ex-Farnborough, Crawley Town and Stevenage manager Danny Carroll taking the reins. Following a reprieval at the end of the 2012-13 season despite another imminent relegation, ex-Kingstonian assistant Mark Hams was instated as manager, with his brother Neil joining as assistant manager. Within their first season, the Hams brothers led the team to a club record league finish of 9th place. However, after struggling in their second season, Hams and the club decided to part their ways after nine league defeats without a single point. Players Liam Collins and Simon Huckle took up temporary coaching roles at the club, before being handed the permanent opportunity in November 2014. Results improved considerably, and the club achieved a historic double over Walton & Hersham for the first time in the club’s history, while defied expectations with an 18th place finish.

AN
EDITOR’S WELCOME
This afternoon we welcome players, supporters and officials of Ramsgate to the Moatside Stadium.
T
his afternoon commences a thrilling new era for Walton Casuals, as we host our first home game at the Moatside Stadium ahead of the exciting developments at Waterside Drive. In doing this, we send a warm welcome to Jim and Danny Ward, as well as their backroom staff, directors and supporters. And for this occasion, we also send a warm welcome to our travelling home supporters today. This season will produce a time of considerable change for the club, but one we are looking forward to. The move from the Waterside has shaped a colossal change for the club – having featured at the ground since 1969 – and not just in us losing our “View from the Waterside” programme feature! Many have worked tirelessly to ensure the future of the club is in the best position, and while some concerns were raised regarding the distance, we hope supporters understand why such a decision was required for the club. We also hope you enjoy our stay at the home of Merstham FC before heading back to a magnificent new home in
the near future. We also send our thanks to the Ryman Premier side for allowing us to groundshare for the 2015/16 season. As well as a new home, we also have a new management team on board. Anthony Gale, a well-known figure at the club already, is joined by Jack Johnson on the touchline, an appointment that has also allowed Liam Collins to return to a playing role. Having witnessed all of our pre-season encounters and new signings, Gale and Johnson have already formed a coherent squad and are raring to go for the league opener! We have an insight into the duo included in today’s programme too. We also welcome Lee Maylon – the club’s new kit manager – and Devon West – who joins Hayley Archibald as a physiotherapist – to the club within the backroom changes. Having suffered two defeats at the hands of Ramsgate last season (both to a single goal), the Stags will be hoping to set the record straight; although Dan and Jimmy Ward certainly won’t let it happen easily. The Rams will undoubtedly be bolstered by the availability of Ian Pulman, who missed part of their
pre-season campaign due to injury, although they will be hoping to improve on their early results. With five games played, just the one victory was celebrated, against Ashford United as Pulman provided both the goals. Nonetheless, with opponents including higher tiered AFC Hornchurch and Canvey Island during the defeats, we all know pre-season results are little to go by in judging the action where it matters! For those who missed our pre-season action, there will be a few new faces lining up. Some well-known Ryman League names are joined by some youthful but experienced players, and there is a little on each of those in today’s programme. Following today’s encounter, we face our first away game of the season, although a little closer to our old home as we take on newly promoted Molesey on Tuesday evening. Ramsgate will also feature on Tuesday, as they entertain Faversham Town for their first home fixture of the season. Make sure you get behind the boys this afternoon, and enjoy the game! Kane Brooker, Editor.

ANTHONY GALE
Manager
P
layer, Director of Football, and now manager. Anthony Gale is a well-known figure around Walton Casuals, and rightly so. 276 appearances over eight seasons places the former midfielder second in the all-time appearances chart, while his impressive goal tally of 51 sits him firmly inside the top ten goalscorers. But now he is hoping to work his magic on the touchlines rather than the pitch. At 32 years of age, Gale may be one of football’s nicer - and younger - guys, but he won’t be afraid to ensure he takes away three points every Saturday afternoon, and pre-season proved the difference a half-time team-talk can make under his guidance. The son of former Fulham and West Ham United defender turned Casuals chairman Tony Gale, who also won the

We won’t fear anyone in this division, and I believe that’s a good way of looking at it for the players and the squad.” While he may see talented striker Gabriel Odunaike overtake his goalscoring achievements, the manager may well be happy to accept it if the goals fire Casuals to improve on last season’s

With the Nigerian forward needing 15 goals to overtake Gale’s total, he has always scored more while facing prolonged absences in both seasons. Hopefully that doesn’t change. Gale also proved to be quite the prolific player, most notably for his 20 goals during Walton’s 2004/05 crusade to become Combined Counties champions. With just four defeats and an astounding 38 wins through the season, Walton stormed to success clinching 118 points from 46 games. Lining-up alongside the likes of Scott Harris, Luke Dowling, Danny Andrews and Craig Carley , Gale paved his way into the club’s history books, and will now hope to do so as a manager. Joining Gale on the touchlines is newly appointed assistant Jack Johnson - who certainly doesn’t lack anything in the experience department. Anthony Gale scored 51 goals in 276 appearances as a player.

Jack Johnson even made an appearance from the bench in pre-season. The former Banstead Athletic manager played across the leagues, and even went international, before hanging up his boots for a place in the dugout. Featuring for the Fulham youth set-up from the ages of eight to 16, Johnson then featured in the Woking set-up under the guidance of his father. His career soon took him to the likes of AFC Wimbledon, Redhill, Molesey, East Grinstead Town and Ringer, before a move to play in the United States. However, Johnson isn’t a total stranger to Walton Casuals – with the former midfielder previously putting pen-to-paper on a deal at the Waterside Stadium. Unfortunately his trip across the Atlantic came two days before the start of the season, and he was unable to feature for the Stags. He also comes from a family full of footballing talent. His father, Peter, is currently the Chief Scout at Yeovil Town, having revolutionised the youth

set-up at National League side Woking before spells coaching youth teams at Watford and Fulham. His uncle, Gary, is the current manager of Cheltenham Town, and took Yeovil Town from the Conference to the Championship after a spell with the Latvian national team and a number of Football League clubs. His cousin, Lee, is a former professional footballer who is now managing League One side Barnsley. He also became the youngest Football League manager when he took over at Oldham Athletic after playing for clubs including Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City and Derby County. Jack also took to the field in the Stags’ final pre-season fixture, during a 3-1 victory over Chertsey Town, but suggested his playing days are somewhat over now after scraping at an opportunity to net a fourth goal in the dying embers of a the affair. The 27-year-old, who also made
sporadic appearances for Athletic last season, is now hoping for the talent the duo have bought in to impress. “Me and the gaffer are quietly and confidently going about our business,” he said. “We’re not getting too involved, we’re just going to do the job to the best of our ability and hopefully time will tell. We will do all our talking on the football pitch.” He has also expressed his excitement at working alongside Gale for the season. “I’ve known Anthony for a few years,” he added. “I’ve played against him and we’ve always known of each other. He’s at Millwall and I’m at Fulham so we know each other through the academy system. He just said to me at pre-season to come on board. “I was a manager at a lower level in the Combined Counties, and he said get yourself involved and work with better players. The big turning point for me coming in is the hunger he has, and the ambition he has that matches the club’s.”
Johnson is also the head coach of the Nescot Football Development Squad. The former Fulham FC academy coach has run the squad for many years, and is an FA Level 3 qualified coach. He is also the head coach at Johnson Football Schools.

amsgate’s earliest roots see the club go back to at least 1886, but when folding in 1924, saw local rivals Ramsgate Glenville take over their stadium, before returning in 1945. With Glenville failing to reform following World War II, a new club emerged as Ramsgate Athletic. While the Athletic title remained until 1972, the club featured in the original incarnation of the Kent League form formation until the collapse in 1959. Tipped as the club’s best period for almost 50 years, the Rams won two consecutive league titles, alongside seven county cups and an appearance in the FA Cup first round. performances early on, the club were soon forced to resign and drop to the newly re-formed Kent League in 1976, now without the Athletic title. The club then went some thirty years comfortably sitting in the league. While they struggled to push for promotion, relegation looked unlikely for the Kent outfit. However, fortunes turned with the return of former manager Jim Ward in 2004. With the manager guiding the club to another two consecutive championships, clinching the Kent League Premier Division and the Isthmian League First Division, the club reached the Isthmian League Premier Division for the first time for the 2006-07 season. It was in that league they played their first derby matches for many years against Margate in the Thanet derby.
The Rams secured a respectable 9th place finish in their debut season in the seventh tier, and progressed to a 5th place finish the following season. However, a 2-1 defeat to Staines Town saw them crash out of the play-off semi-finals. The tide soon turned once again, and despite lifting the Isthmian League Cup after a penalty shootout victory against AFC Sudbury in their last campaign, the Rams fell to rock bottom and were relegated back to the Isthmian Division One South. Upon their return to the eighth tier, they finished in a mediocre 14th place. The 2010-11 season saw them improve and narrowly miss out on the play-offs by just five points. The Rams continued to finish in the top half of the table for the coming seasons, before a disappointing 21st placed finish last season while narrowly avoiding the relegation zone.

Pulman joined the Rams in 2005 before playing in the United States and Australia. He returned to England in time for the 2010/11, and opted for a move to Whitstable Town. Coming close to a return to Ramsgate for the following season, he headed for Conference football once again, before returning to the Southwood Stadium mid-campaign. He has since moved between Whitstable Town and Ramsgate a number of times, and is now in his fourth spell with the Rams ahead of the 2015/16 season.

After two 1-0 defeats against Ramsgate last season, Anthony Gale will hope to set the record straight for the Stags.
B
oth teams will be raring to go with the inauguration of the 2015/16 season, and three points will be on the agenda for Gale and the Ward brothers. After lacklustre finishes in the preceding campaign for both Walton Casuals and Ramsgate, the clubs will be hoping to escalate the table with immediate effect after the introduction of new backroom staff. Despite the mixed results in preseason for the two clubs, both sets of players and supporters will know it’s little to go by on judging their forthcoming year. The visitors have bolstered their side with the likes of Sittingbourne midfielder Peter Smith and Maidstone United’s Nicky Humphrey – who also takes the armband this season - and the duo will hope to impress on their competitive debuts. However, all eyes are likely to be on Ian Pulman, after his arrival at the Kent club for another spell following a stint at Whitstable Town. The striker has proven his worth in front of goals throughout the years in the Ryman set-up, and will hope this season will
prove no difference. Up the other end of the field, Gabriel Odunaike will also help to find firing form immediately. Having scooped the club’s Golden Boot award for the past two years, he will now aim to top the Ryman charts – after facing prolonged spells in both seasons at the Waterside. Despite an initial injury scare in preseason, Odunaike bounced back and shone in the final pre-season outings, finding the net six times in four games. Billy Dunn and Luke Medley will also be hopeful, after three goals a piece. He will be joined by a number of new faces, including former Brentford, Cambridge United and Kingstonian midfielder Matt Somner, while 15-year-old youth sensation Calogero Scannella will hope to break club records and become the youngest player to ever feature for the Casuals. With the table equal across the board, everything is to play for ahead of a demanding nine months. The Stags will hope to improve on last season’s defensive displays, but with a new back four led by newly designated captain Quincy Rowe, expect a close encounter at both ends of the field.

fter a 1-0 defeat at the Waterside earlier in the season, Walton suffered a similar loss at the hands of Ramsgate during the trip to Southwood Stadium. A second-half strike from Junior James proved to be enough to secure all three points for the Rams, finding the net in the 64th minute. The victory became the first home win for the hosts under the management of Simon Halsey, and led to the boss claim: “Consistency is vital, especially for a team like us in the position we are in. “The lads were buzzing after last weekend and they need to be at their best again this weekend.”

GALE H
ello, and welcome to the new season, in which is going to be very exciting for us. Obviously, everyone’s thoughts throughout the summer have been on the new project that will be taking place next season at our old site at Franklyn Road and we are delighted to say this is going through. Whilst this is going through and it’s all be being built, we have to ground share - and we are so pleased to come to a lovely club like Merstham who have been so accommodating and making us feel welcome. In particular, the manager Haydon Bird. I understand this is going to cause a little bit of inconvenience with our fans but hopefully everyone will be patient because our future is very bright. In fact, brighter than it’s ever been. We’ve strived for years to develop our old site and now after all those years we are working with the council and we are going to be the recipients of the best footballing venues in the non-league in the country. But today the season starts, we have a new management team this season of Anthony Gale and Jack Johnson. Everyone at the club knows Anthony and how well he did last season when taking the position as caretaker manager. We have now acquired a bright and young assistant in Jack Johnson, who I believe will go places. With these two working together, not just this season but for the future as well, I think we are in safe hands. Welcome to today’s visitors Ramsgate, a very well established and run club who are going to be amongst the favourites for promotion this season. Today’s game is very important and although it’s the first game of the season and everyone is finding their feet, it’s still a very important to put some early points on the table. I fully expect that Ramsgate are going to be up with the promotion candidates this season, and so a very big welcome to them today.

three minute brace from Gabriel Odunaike in the second half was enough to prolong the pre-season glee for Walton Casuals, after recording a 4-1 victory over CB Hounslow United. The Stags made the trip to Osterley to take on a youthful Hounslow, who named five Under-18 stars in their ranks for the friendly with nine first team players out of action, and eventually came out on top across the 90 minutes. In an entertaining affair, Luke Medley managed to find Odunaike with an impressive ball to open the action of the half, but the golden boot holder was unlucky to be narrowly beaten by the offside trap. Just minutes later, Medley popped up again to watch his cross creep towards the back post, this time Scott Day the unfortunate target who failed to connect with a header. And the hosts made Walton pay for their lacklustre spell in front of goal shortly after, breaking away before Jordan Vidal beat the offside trap to tap past the trialist in between the sticks. A lead for Hounslow was somewhat unexpected, but increased the sharpness of the visitors to search for an equaliser.
For Billy Dunn, it took little more than 40 seconds to find the all-important goal. As the winger broke immediately from kick-off, he calmly slotted home out of the reach of the goalkeeper – for who such a score line seemed harsh given his performance. After two minutes of madness at both ends of the field, play settled once again and the two sides strived to take the lead. With another opportunity from Odunaike connecting with the post, before landing the wrong side of the line, the two teams went into the break equal – but saw the latter stages of the half overshadowed by a serious injury to Hounslow’s Jason Jones, who was stretchered off after a hamstring injury. The second half produced little difference in play, and both sides struggled to break through and net the third goal of the game early on. A headed effort from Day was unable to test the goalkeeper after scraping over the crossbar, while Medley came close to an assist after finding the midfielder – only for a valiant block from the hosts to deflect his effort from close range. While a skilful rabona from Medley was unable to find a teammate, the resulting clearance and build-up saw Odunaike strike his first of the afternoon with a trademark one-on-one fin-
ish after breaking through the defensive line. After a well-timed pass from Dunn fell into the path of the pacey forward, there was little doubt of the outcome for the striker. And he opted to add his second shortly after in the 70th minute, this time finding the top corner with a gliding header, courtesy of an impeccable cross from new signing Peter Wedgeworth. The lack of numbers and youth in the side appeared to hurt Hounslow as time went on, but the Stags also improved and forced the hosts into a very defensive style of play. Despite the odd opportunity looking like a threat from United, Anthony Gale’s men retained their composure for the remainder of the game, and ensured they would remain on top. As the game began to come to a close, Odunaike was luckless to not complete his hat trick, as another rapid pass from Dunn was just a little too much to latch onto. Nonetheless, striking partner Medley completed the scoring with five minutes remaining. Collecting the ball from the halfway line, the powerful forward was able to crusade through the defensive line and break through on goal. With just the keeper to beat, Medley neatly found the bottom corner and sealed the victory in a well-battled friendly.
W
hen it comes to the magic of the FA Cup, everyone wants a good run. Luton Town, playing in the Conference National, reached the fifth round in 2012/13, which included a trip to Carrow Road, while recently Warrington Town and Blyth Spartans became the non-league heroes. As we gear up for another season, which will see the Stags enter the FA Cup, the FA Trophy, the Surrey Senior Cup, the Isthmian League Cup and the Southern Combination Challenge Cup, manager Anthony Gale will be hoping to turn dreams into reality. The cup dream will commence at the Moatside Stadium on Wednesday 19th August. Hosting East Grinstead Town in the Isthmian League Cup, the first round tie could make an interesting affair. While the Wasps have held the Casuals to a draw twice in recent seasons, a trip to West Sussex produced a captivating 6-1 victory. The hosts will be hoping for more to come. Shortly after, the FA Cup campaign begins on Saturday 29th August. Drawing Whitstable in the Preliminary Round (again!), Walton will be hoping for a different result this time round. Last season saw a 1-1 draw at the Waterside, before Town secured the win with a replay at the Belmont Ground. This time we will head immediately to Kent, and hope to continue our run in the world’s oldest competition. Early October will commence the
FA Trophy fixtures, where we will host fellow Ryman Division One South side Sittingbourne. After mixed outings against the Brickies last season – which saw a 2-1 defeat at home followed by an impressive 4-3 victory – Gale will hope to set the record straight on Sunday 4th October. Should the victory be recorded, the first qualifying round would tie us with the victors of Witham Town or Herne Bay. Club chairman Tony Gale expressed his desire for a cup run this season during pre-season, and hopes to give back to supporters. “I’d like to win a couple of games in the cup competitions,” he said. “Not just for the money, but to keep the appeal for our fans to attend the cup games. I’d love to go far in one of them for the fans while getting off to a good start in the league.” The Southern Combination Challenge Cup has produced a trip to Eversley & California for the first round, although a date is yet to be set for the fixture. The outing with the tenth tier side has to be played by Thursday 15th October, but keep an eye out on social media, and any upcoming ‘The Stags’ matchday programmes for the details. And finally, comes the Surrey Senior Cup. However, the draw is yet to take place for the competition, last won by Metropolitan Police at the Kingfield Stadium, so once again watch out for further news.

FEATURED MATCH
UNDER-18s FEATURE IN NORWAY CUP Walton Casuals Juniors were unfortunate to face defeat in the play-off round of the Norway Cup, after losing 5-1 to KfumKam earlier this week. After the success of a trip to Sweden to feature in the Gothia Cup last season, the Under-18s went international once again to feature in the 42nd edition of the Norway Cup, the biggest international youth football tournament in the world with over 1,400 teams. The Stags kicked-off the week with a clash with Birkebeineren, who eventually won the group – requiring goal difference to take the top spot over Walton. Despite falling to a 4-2 defeat, they bounced back immediately for their remaining fixtures against their European opponents. An evening encounter with Nordre Fjell the following day saw the Juniors emerge victorious in Group 13 of Category A. Recording a 1-0 win saw hopes rise of a potential progression into the next round. The opportunity was then sealed with the final group match after an impressive 3-1 victory over Lindeberg SK. Finishing in second place in the group, and progressing to the play-off, the dream was soon ended at the hands of more Norwegian opponents. However, the youth players can hold their heads high, as the team that knocked them out went on to progress through the round of 16, round of 8 and quarter-finals. After defeat in the semi-finals, Kfum-Karn went on to claim third in the tournament, meaning the Stags were knocked out to one of the stronger teams in the tournament. Walton Casuals were one of just three non-Norwegian teams to feature in Category A, with Steamboat Soccer Boys of the United States and Swedish stars Kärra KIF completing the teams. Congratulations to all players who took part in the tournament for progressing through the group stages.

PRE-SEASON OVERVIEW P
re-season ahead of the 2015/16 season was a major success, as it saw the Stags only fall to defeat once out of five matches, losing 1-3 to the Metropolitan Police. Aside from that, manager Anthony Gale will have high hopes for the upcoming season, and now knows what he can expect from his side.
the summer. This game gave the managerial duo a chance to watch their team come up against higher-league opposition, and it ended back at the drawing board. However, there were still positives to take from this game, and the team were looking to bounce back. Fisher 0-3 Casuals
The third game of the Stags’ pre-season was away at Fisher FC at the Coldharbour Leisure Centre, some eight miles from their home ground. Ninth tier The Stags started off pre-season in an emphatic manner, slotting seven Fisher didn’t really test Walton as much as they probably would have liked, but past Combined Counties side Speltthe visitors showed again the imporhorne Sports. again, bouncing back from their defeat. CB Hounslow United 1-4 Casuals Back on the road again, and still recording victories. The Stags kept their pre-season form in delightful shape, with Gabriel Odunaike scoring a brace inside three minutes when the visitors needed it most. Billy Dunn also had his shooting boots on and before we knew it, Walton were back in front after initially being behind. To finish it off Luke Medley found the net again, like he had been doing for the majority of pre-season, and the victory here was cemented against a youthful Hounslow. Chertsey Town 1-3 Casuals The final game of pre-season ended just like how it began, recording a victory. Anthony Gale took his side to Kim Harris’ Chertsey Town, concluding the pre-season in winning fashion. Liam Collins opened the scoring in this game, connecting well to find the top corner following a well-executed corner from Billy Dunn. Just before the half time whistle, Casuals scored again, coming in the shape of an unfamiliar goalscorer, Dan Newman. There was then an injury scare for the goal scorer, but after receving treatment in the interval, he was fine to play on and carry on impressing in the final 45 minutes of the game. The second half was to be used to finish the game off. Odunaike yet again found the net, dinking the ball over the goalkeeper, and the win for the Stags was cemented, just like they would have hoped.
