Elements of Logotype Inspiration- The logo type mainly takes inspirtaion from the ‘Uchen Script’ embossed on the prayer wheels (cylindrical wheel on a spindle made from metal, wood, stone, leather or coarse cotton) in the Sikkim monasteries. The alphabet is very closely linked to a broad ethnic Tibetan identity, spanning across areas in Tibet, Bhutan, India, Nepal.

Uchen Script

This logotype is created using elements of the ‘Uchen Script’. It has similar cuurves and flourishes. The double stem has been inspired by the actual matras embossed on the prayer wheel. The rhombus like tittle on the letter ‘i’ and the colons before the letter ‘s’ and after the letter ‘m’ have been directly taken the prayer wheels. Despite the similar appearence of the logotype and Uchen Script, they donot share the same meaning.

The forest cover of Sikkim which was 43.95 per cent in 1993, has increased to 47.34 per cent in 2013.
