This work explores the initial stages of life through the ancient art TaiChi as a metaphor - where one produces two, two produce three, and three produce a myriad of many different others. This work makes inquiry to life, which as the subject matter.
Experiences of Life
This work expresses several stages of people's life:the embryoes in mum’s wombs; the young adult and the dying elderly. In this print, the little triangles on the coner of the second layer represents the basic organisms such as tissue, cell and the veins. Besides the layers of squares represents the annual rings.The life span of the soy beans symbolize the life course of human.

The beauty of ancient eaves-tile attracts me a lot. The display shows four spiritual beasts from the Han Dynasty, thay has respective symbolisms and implications in protecting the home in four different directions. Dragon to the East, Rosefinch to the south, white tiger to west, and the black tortoise protect the north of a family.

There was a time that I often stayed alone at the studio that made me feel lonely. The soft tone in this work depicts the sensation and the loneliness that I felt. Here, a sense of surrealism as depicted by the dream state of the clouds; while the windows, the buildings and the people in an unreal world. One of the figures in the composition is my female self and the other my male self. It expresses my desire to talk to someone when I feel lonely. Rather than anxious, it gives me a quiet and romantic sensation.
