(10 of 14)
There seemed to be a different amount of workload each week. Some weeks the instructor would post a lot of assignments, while other weeks there would be a few.
- the workload was fair, and I feel that there was a steady pace and had enough time to complete assignments and read the material. - The work load, at times, seemed a little more than some other 4 credit course, but I still think it was reasonable - considering this is an elective class and only 3 credits, i find that there was a little too much work. - It was a lot of work, however it was an online course, so I suppose it's to be expected. -
The workload was a little bit heavier than I expected. On the other hand there was a nice disbursement of due dates that made completing assignments on time feasible.
- The workload was fair for this class. - The workload was a little challenging for a level 100, introductory course, but nothing that wasn't unreasonable. - Work load was just enough and not overwhelming. - There was a sufficient enough work every week and papers were an appropriate length for a 100 level class
Q8 - What are the strengths of the course? Response Rate: 64.29%
(9 of 14)
I liked the writtings assigned for this coarse, I feel that they really gave me a chance to connect new concepts with a wide variety of - venues. The concert reviews gave me an opportunity to see some great performances. The blogs and listening journals were also helpful.
- Its foundation in the basic parts of music. -
the instructor! Dr Salvador is amazing and responds to emails and grades very quickly! very impressed! i really did not want to take a class like this but she made it very fun!
- The text book was extremely thorough. - The text that included My Music Lab. The instructor's knowledge and great feedback. The types of assignements. - The strengths of this course was that you were able to express yourself. - The professor was very good, very helpful, and useful. - New knowledge about musical terms and what they mean - The book was very well chosen, and the paper assignments helped follow up what we had learned in the class
Q9 - What did you like best about the course? Response Rate: 57.14% -
(8 of 14)
I think my favorite assignments were the Program music and the concert review, but this coarse was all around very enjoyable. i kind of wish I would have taken it on campus.
- Listening to music - The instructor was very helpful and always encouraging. - Learning a lot of things that I did not know, and being exposed to many different types of music that I have never heard. - I liked the different assignments we were given every week. - The professor. - Writing a full page journal every other week. - Concise paper prompts, and the quizzes were well done.
Q10 - What suggestions would you make for the improvement of the course? Response Rate: 57.14%
(8 of 14)
The assignments were somewhat difficult for me because they involved a great deal of thinking and it's hard enough for me to grasp - musical concepts. Plus, I had to research a lot of the material online because some assignments didn't relate to what we read in the book. - none, everything was fine - Less reading. - Journal assignments. - To make the tests available during the week. - Nothing. Maybe take out some questions from the quizzes but that may make them too easy. - Less writing of journals -
Some people take online courses so they don't have to interact with other students as much, I would lessen the blog percentage, and I wasn't a fan of the journals.
