Vitta Center was the first project specialized within the health industry since 1970 in Guatemala City. The project draft design was initially 66,000 sqm but with the health industry growth and amenities, it ended with 186,000 sqm including, clinics, retail, hospital, accommodation, and parking. Being the design coordinator help me to have knowledge in the health care industry and have more skills to ensure schedule deliveries and coordination within the different departments, such as: merchandising, financial advisors, graphic designers, landscape, clients, engineers, and merchandising.

S C H E M AT I C PROCESS
DESIGN
Incharge of the schematic design process and the changes involved from 66,000 sqm to 186,000 sqm. It involved solving the internal circulation for both clinic towers, design of the hospital, retail shops distribution, pool location, an auditorium for 50 people, distribution of 44 rooms, and relocating more than 20 elevators to help with the transit of people. Furthermore, all these changes involved coordination with all the engineers, thus redrawing engineers' electrical and hydraulic ducts.
Plan Layout : Karen Velasquez & Mayra Juarez
FAC A D E S T U DY The facades were design based on solar studies. This variation was created in Archicad to have more accurate the dimensions and shadows projected. Also, the material considerate was from Hunter Douglas in which I had to travel with the architect director to chile to visit the fabric of Hunter Douglas in Chile and explore more options for the facades

Across Collodi, Yellow is the most used facade color. The project uses yellow in a bright and fresh shade in interior spaces to create an interesting contrast with the roughness of the exterior material.

SKILLS
AND
The time deliverable was less than 2 months. I had to learn new software programs, such as; rhino in one day, as it was the one with more flexibility to accomplish the complexity of shapes for the design. Although it was a group of three including me we manage perfectly the time, being able to explore and rapidly finding solutions for the design and using the arch as our primary design element. Also, the color cause a great impact and we end up being the third place, among 500 proposals.

SOCIAL HOUSING, PLAN B
R O L E : CO CO O R D I N ATO R L E A D E R Leader of design coordination, assisted with construciton plans and supervision of construction. Graphic Materials and mockups for workshops AREA: 86 SQM
Plan B was created in response to the disaster caused by the Volcan de Fuego in Guatemala, June 2018
Rendering Pre Edition: Karen Velasquez
RENDERING VS REALITY The master plan of the project required 25 units with a recreational area. Each unit had a land of 9x19 meters and the total construction for each house had 86 sqm. Even though it was a small project it required a lot of supervision as the details and the precision of the construction helped to maintain the prices. The design was created to be modular blocks, to avoid any waste of materials, also being part of the supervision team help me to have more knowledge of the challenges and quick decision that needs to be done in order to advance and deliver the construction on time.
workshops The importance of participating with the families helped to develop a sustainable project and adaptable to their necessities and the climate conditions. Being part of this project also helps me to develop skills in managing small projects with a tight budget.
Distribution The design was developed to have a patio in the middle, as it was one of the requirements of the families, as they use it for their recreational time with family, also it was important to separate the rooms from the social area.
