Triangle is primarily perceived at the metropolitan scale of the city of Paris. Its elevated stature will lend major visibility to the Porte de Versailles and the Parc des Expositions site within the overall conurbation. It will also permit its integration in the system of axes and perspectives that constitute the urban fabric of Paris. On the scale of the Porte de Versailles site, the project will also play a significant role in the reorganisation of the flow and perception of urban space. The Parc des Expositions site currently forms a rupture between the Haussmannian fabric of the15th district of Paris and the communities of Issy-les-Moulineaux and Vanves, emphasised by the visual impact of the peripheral boulevard.
B /
The square of the Porte de Versailles is a complex space in its current configuration. Its initial semi-circular organisation is difficult to interpret given the many visual obstructions and lack of clearly identified public spaces between the Parc des Expositions and the opposite buildings. Building on the square itself would intensify this complexity: our project therefore proposes to free this space by positioning itself along the avenue Ernest Renan.

Triangle is conceived as a piece of the city that could be pivoted and positioned vertically. The base of the project is open to all, from the square of the Porte de Versailles and along the avenue Ernest Renan, which regains the appearance of a Parisian street with shops, restaurants and Hotel. The rooms of the Hotel are one side exposed only the corner rooms have the double exposition. The main concept for the hotel’s room was to make the rooms cosy woody and built in furnitur. each rooms is playing white the shape and the structure that the building is offering.
B /
The hotel rooms offering a panoramic view from level 13 to 18 from which the entire metropolis can be discovered. Triangle will thus become one of the scenes of metropolitan Paris. It will not only be a landmark from which the urban panorama can be experienced, but also an outstanding silhouette in the system of axes and monuments of the city.

The aim of the Badaevskiy Brewery project is to redevelop the six-hectares old factory area, between the Moscow River and the vector to Minsk, and to transform this famous but largely abandoned and dilapidated site into a vibrant destination point in central Moscow.
B /
The factory grounds and river embankment are to be opened to the city; the old industrial structures are to be assessed, with more than 30,000 m² of them restored and brought back to life through new internal organization and uses; and more than 100,000 m² of new residential, office and retail program is to be added in order to rejuvenate the site, support the complex renovation, and provide quality residential, work and recreation areas to this prime location. After an initial feasibility and concept study, Herzog & de Meuron were formally appointed for the design of the Badaevskiy Brewery Project in 2017.

The new building on the site could be described as a piece of city lifted up in the air. This «Horizontal Skyscraper» is the result of a research phase where we tested and tried out all kinds of building typologies along the riverfront, but whatever we tried felt wrong. The greatest problem was that any new structure on the ground would have divided the site into privileged and less privileged areas, into front and back sides, and the amount of public green would have been reduced to a minimum.
B /
It was obvious that we started to lift up in the air the piece that we had tested on the ground before, although we were hesitant to come up with a building typology which is so remindful of the «Wolkenbügel», one of the most heroic icons of the Russian Avant-garde. But here it didn’t look heroic or monumental. The building does not fly; it rather sits on many slender stilts like an elevated lodge in the forest. The stilts connect the building with the ground and the park like trunks of trees.

A /
Skolkovo is the Russian government initiative for a new urban community at the 3rd ring of Moscow, 17 km west from the Kremlin. Built ex nihilo, the aim of Skolkovo is to create a globally reputed centre for innovative 21st century technology, embracing research and production, with administrative headquarters for both established and emerging companies, schools, institutes, and a new university. The Skoltech University, as a newly founded institution, rises together with the rest of Skolkovo, and aims to be a distinguished educational and research centre for Moscow, Russia and the whole world.

AstraZeneca is establishing a new Strategic Research & Development (R&D) Centre and Global Corporate Headquarters in Cambridge, UK, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC). As part of the wider development known as the Cambridge Southern Fringe Area, CBC is envisioned as a future leading centre for biomedical research and development with institutions and companies from the education, health care, science and research sectors. The Global R&D Centre is located in the middle of the CBC. This central location reflects AZ’s ambition to be a key point of exchange and collaboration in the CBC community, building on its many existing collaborations with members of the Cambridge Life Science community including the University of Cambridge, the Medical Research Council and Cancer Research UK. The architecture supports this drive and makes it visible with a porous building that is accessible from three different sides.
B /
The new building for AstraZeneca’s Strategic Research & Development (R&D) Centre and Global Corporate Headquarters is a triangular glass disc with rounded edges that loosely follows the shape of the site. The disc is defined by a saw-tooth roof that runs East to West to provide optimal light inside the building. The saw-tooth roof carries on through to the facade creating a tighter and larger zig-zag line along the facade. The hovering glass disc with saw-tooth roof and stepped facade gives the building its characteristic appearance.
