INTRODUCTION
The project consisted of solving a specific, contextual and typographic program of a given culture.The objective was the focus on the site, users and environmental problems, which led to the development of the design.

T H E Y ?
The Raramuris, also called Tarahumaras, are an indian tribe which lives in the northern parts of mexico, in the state of Chihuahua, The indian tribe has a simple way of life and believes in a simple law called ‘the attitude of humble silence’, which is love, humility, hope and joy. Raramuri means “he who has light feet”. This characterizes them in a specific way since these people are known all over the world for their ability to run long distances, quickly and constantly. These people like challenges, which leads to an intensity of life, their form of existence.
WAY OF LIVING
Raramuris have a peaceful way of living. They live at great distances, separated from each other. They usually live in caves in the Sierra Tarahumara, in the inhospitable mountains where they have their duellings, their traditions and their simplicity.
OBJECTIVE
A way to occupy the Sierra Tarahumara generating a journey related to the topography and the customs of the place, giving it identity.
LOCATION
SURA is located in the lake of San Juanito, 15 minutes from the town of San Juanito, a town in the municipality of Bocoyna.
CLIMATE & ORIENTATION The climate in the Sierra Tarahuma varies greatly depending the season, altitude and latitude, this region boasts two dramatically different climatic zones.

CONTEXT The Sierra Tarahumara is one of the longest and deepest canyon systems in the world, which offers some of the most beautiful natural settings on the planet, where you can find an enormous wealth of fauna and flora. San Juanito and the Sierra Tarahumara, in general, is the lung of northern Mexico; covered by large mixed forests of pine-oak, pine, holm oaks and oyamel.

A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN MEET, INTERACT AND SATISFY THEIR BASIC NEEDS. A COMMUNITY CENTER ADAPTABLE TO ANY OCCASION OR USE THAT THE USER WANTS TO GIVE. THE RARAMURIS HAVE TRADITIONS, SO THIS PLACE WILL HELP TO CONTINUE WITH THOSE TRADITIONS, TEACHING THEM TO THE NEXT GENERATIONS AND CARRYING THEM OUT.
