March 20, 2014 Hello again, friends! Here you have another interesting project we have done. The project´s name is “Sounds that guide”. The group forms a corridor where we walk with eyes blindfolded. Children who make the corridor have to clap to guide children who don´t see the way. It´s an empathy game, the student who is clapping, to be able to execute the action, will try to feel the sensation is getting the person who can not see. Speaking about the project, after its completion, we discovered the different perspectives and points of view: Ainhoa said that when she was the blindfolded, someone stucked her and she got scared. Iraitz explains that Ainhoa was going to hit against a pillar and he tried it didn´t happen. Iraitz says that he did that to help but Ainhoa felt attacked. When someone is not in an equal status, we have to adapt to him/her. With this project, we learned to identify feelings and we see how each one receive different sensations before a same event. Some of us were confused, lost, felt fear or insecurity and others felt safe, strong, quiet. Anais explains that it is easier to be guided than to guide because the responsibility for guiding is complicated. Here you have some pictures. In June the project we have been doing with Maider López will be shown at the Guggenhein Museum in Bilbao. This is our last email, we have enjoy a lot to get to know you, to read your emails and to share our experiences. We wish you the best luck! Hugs, Kontxi´s Class with the artist Maider Lopez.
