Hello friends! Here you have some information about Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. It is made out of titanium. Light reflect on it. We went once and we will go again soon. We like it a lot, it is big and look like a boat, being the walls curves. The architect is Frank Gehry. It is not necessary to take a boat or swim, we went by bus from San Sebastian, which is 1hour 15 min distance. We enjoy and learn a lot from Richard Serra’s work at the Museum. Serra works with steel but he uses also other materials like time and space. He makes large pieces that are kept in balance without any kind of sugeccion. Labyrinths around us that seemed nice and short for someones and others persons felt disoriented and we thought we were never going to end. We know the Guggenheim NY has curves, but different than gugg Bilbao’s ones, we would like to know more about it. We are glad to heart about your project, it is very good. Maider is a big enthusiastic of Orozcos work and she will talk us more about his practice soon. We are keen to the idea of working individually and then generally it is so. We have also worked that direction. Our project is based on lines that bounce, emphasizing the need to coordinate, cooperate and work in groups. We perform color line drawings on cards. Lines at the edge of the paper and bounce go their way, creating a screening of overlapping lines. We study balance, shape, color, emphasizing topics covered in the Museum through Serra. Will move later drawings into space, creating paths, playgrounds for we have figured out the game itself. Each group will follow the color line (running on one leg, walking), to cross at the intersection with walking the path of another color, will have to organize to move on without leaving the line through the cooperation and communication. We send photos of the project. Until next week!
