February 28th, 2014 Hello from the Bronx! We are surprised to hear that you don’t have to take a boat or swim to the Guggenheim in Bilbao! Our Guggenheim is in the borough of Manhattan, and was built by an architect named Frank Lloyd Wright. We get there by bus. It is across the street from Central Park, it is made of cement, and it has many different shapes. It has curves like the Guggenheim Bilbao, but here they form a big spiral, it reminds us of a cake or a hamburger! Here is a picture of the Guggenheim in New York.

Inside the museum, there is a lot different artwork that changes all the time. When we visited in October, we saw collages made by Robert Motherwell and photographs by Christopher Wool. We are going to the Guggenheim again on Monday, and we are very excited because we will see new artwork. You’re project looks cool and we’re excited to see how it turns out! Here are some pictures of us painting our sculptures today in class with Molly and Ms. Sachs. We will send more pictures when we are finished.
