After many similar regeneration projects realized in the past two decades in Europe, the Municipality of Szczecin has decided to open up the neglected island of Łasztownia for redevelopment and launched an opencall competition.
the structure of existing and new urban tissue
The main idea behind our proposal was to create as many links as possible, in order to integrate the island with the Szczecin Old Town. Those links were to be realized on various levels, among them the most important: • physical: building new bridges which connect two riverbanks at street level • visual: preserving important visual perspectives from and towards the island • structural: proposing such a scale and type of urban tissue that it is related.

Our aim was to create a district with various types of public spaces – from leisure riverbanks to cultural squares between the buildings of the Old Slaughterhouse. Most of the designed blocks are mixed use, creating a dense and vibrant neighbourhood. My role in the project was to work on the overall concept, create diagrams, sections and axos explaining our idea as well as putting together the final layout and coordinating our sub-contractors : visual artists and model makers.

Networking Greater Paris
The project was realised during the design studio at ENSA Paris Val de Seine: In the pursuit of modernity: La Defense and the metropolitan project led by the former OMA associate, Clement Blanchet in collaboration with the University of Michigan. It questioned the idea of Paris’ limits as a city and metropolis and proposed a more abstract and general overview of the French capital. In the context of the Reinvnter Paris competition, announced by the mayor of Paris back in November 2014, our project tried to point out the weaknesses of the brief. Instead of the 23 sites within the Paris’ formal limits, the project proposed 23 sites within the Greater Paris Region.
Networking Greater Paris competitions sites
We believe that the district of La Defense can only be modern when considered as equal as other arrondissements. The project thus explores a vision of near future when so different urban settings will become one city, thanks to the infrastructure. I declare the full authorship of all presented drawings and models. The top left presented model was an equal teamwork.

The project was a diploma project realised in the scope of Europan 13 competition, in collaboration with Konrad Urbanowicz and under the supervision of Clement Blanchet. The competition brief offered a rare possibility to consider the adaptation of unused oil infrastructure to housing. We believe this is a challenge which architects will have to tackle quite often in the near future. The site at Bergs is exceptional because of the breathtaking view that it’s offering. This view has been hidden away from Nacka’s citizens for almost sixty years. Thus, the aim of the project is to make this luxury that has been accessible only for a few a common good. The project is based on two strategies - the first proposing different uses for the preserved silos in time and the second one taking on the construction of the housing district itself. I declare the full authorship of all presented drawings. The presented model was an equal teamwork.

I joined the ‘Wolne Tory’ competition project team for the 2nd stage, when 6 teams have already been qualified to submit further proposal. The presented here second phase of the competition required a greater level of detail to the work already submitted in phase 1. The masterplan is based on two main concepts – first: creating an important north-south axis, which will link the new district to the old city centre, second: establishing two transversal links between existing market squares of the neighbouring districts. Poznań is a city renowned for its structure based on multiple districts and their hearts - market squares. The district detailed in the second phase explains the main principles behind shaping the smaller urban units and how they relate to the existing tissue. Public squares and plazas have mainly been planned around the preserved industrial heritage buildings, so the future development can easily build its proper identity. My role in the project was to create explanatory diagrams and sections explaining our idea as well as putting together the final layout.

This project is a younger brother of the neighbouring ‘Green Day’. Both buildings are urban infills – they replace two blocks along the Szczytnicka street which were destroyed during the WWII. I participated in the planning and construction process from volume studies to the official opening of the building. I was involved in the Building Permit application process, and the Execution Design – branch coordination and interior design (common areas). I have also been designing fit-outs for various tenants, from initial functional layouts to interior design, with simple visuals. Furthermore, I was responsible for filing LEED Certification Application. I attended the construction site on a regular basis, which allowed me to take the state exam for a chartered architect.

The office building ‘Nowy Targ’ occupies a prestigious site in the Old Town of Wrocław – between a baroque Hatzfeld Palace and gothic St. Adalbert Church, in front of a modernist housing and square – Nowy Targ. In this project, our particular attention was driven to the ground floor – as the main façade of the building is 135 m long and the pavement rather narrow, we wanted to ensure the functional diversity of the retail space and the quality of public realm.

I was involved in the Building Permit application process, and the Execution Design – branch coordination – which has been done entirely in Revit. I was responsible for the interior design (main lobby and common areas). I have also been designing initial fit-out layouts for various tenants, using Revit software. Furthermore, I was responsible for filing LEED Certification Application. The building is to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2019.
