Hannigan Scholarship | Years 10 or 11 2018 Description

Queenwood is offering an exciting opportunity for a girl of great potential to join the School for Years 10, 11 and 12 (if in Year 9 in 2017) or Years 11 and 12 (if in Year 10 in 2017). The Hannigan Scholarship recognises that in some circumstances academic records may not fully reflect the abilities of an able student. It aims to make the outstanding academic and co-curricular offering at Queenwood available to a student of high potential both personally and academically, who can develop into a young woman of energy, character and purpose. The 2018 Hannigan Scholar will be a student in Year 9 or Year 10 in 2017 who wants an opportunity to excel in a new academic environment, who is prepared to work hard and commit fully to the life of the School and who will use a Queenwood education as a springboard for future success and service. Candidates for this fullfee, means-tested scholarship will be required to undertake assessments and interviews, and the award of the scholarship is in the Principal’s absolute discretion. Recipients receive additional benefits including mentoring from esteemed Old Girls, regular attendance at the Balmoral Lecture Series, and involvement in the Catalyst Programme for gifted and talented students and participation in events as offered by the Principal.
