Year 10
2019
Hannigan Scholarship Description Queenwood is offering an exciting opportunity for a girl of great potential to join the School for Years 10, 11 and 12. The Hannigan Scholarship recognises that in some circumstances academic records may not fully reflect the abilities of an able student. It aims to make the outstanding academic and cocurricular offering at Queenwood available to a student of high potential who can develop into a young woman of energy, character and purpose. The 2019 Hannigan Scholar will be a student in Year 9 in 2018 who wants an opportunity to excel in a new academic environment, who is prepared to work hard and commit fully to the life of the School and who will use a Queenwood education as a springboard for future success and service. Candidates for this full-fee, means-tested scholarship will be required to undertake assessments and interviews. Recipients receive additional benefits including mentoring from esteemed Old Girls, regular attendance at the Balmoral Lecture Series, involvement in the Catalyst Programme for gifted and talented students and participation in events as offered by the Principal. Continuation of a Bursary each year will be subject to an annual review of the candidate's progress and financial circumstances of her parents. All scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion. The School reserves the right in its absolute discretion not to award a scholarship in any particular year or any particular award.
