Schools are very busy places around arrival and collection times. We are committed to ensuring that all girls are able to travel safely to and from school each day.

Remember this is a ‘kiss and drop’ zone, and cars must stop only briefly to allow girls to get in or out of the car.

If your daughter is not ready for collection, cars must drive out and circle back, joining the queue again to keep things moving for everyone.

For reasons of safety, all drivers should observe the traffic rules in the areas around the School.

GUIDELINES FOR KEEPING OUR CHILDREN SAFE JUNIOR SCHOOL

SENIOR SCHOOL

• Remain in your vehicle at all times in the ‘Drop-off and Pick-up’ zone.

• Remain in your vehicle at all times in the ‘Drop-off and Pick-up’ zone.

• Your child’s name should be clearly visible in the car windscreen. Parents can purchase a specialised Car ID for front visor: www.signsafekids.com

• If your child is not there, move through the area and circle around to join the queue again, thereby allowing those waiting behind to keep moving through.

• Do not engage in conversation with staff during car line pick up; this can cause congestion.

• Consider parking in local surrounding streets and at Hunter Park at afternoon pick up.

• If you have more than one child, pick all up at the release time allocated to your oldest child.

• Arrange a slightly later pick up time to avoid traffic congestion.

• Please do not park in vacant staff car parking spaces; these are reserved for staff only.

• Never call to your children from across the road. Teach them to wait until you come to them.

• Always use the pedestrian crossing to cross the road. Remind your children to wait for cars to stop before crossing.

• Girls are encouraged to use public transport, carpool and walk to School with friends.
