Training Activities During the period between August 2018 and April 2020, ten (10) training institutions working under the Directorate General Civil Defence imparted training to 15,185 master trainers in different disciplines of civil protection including fire prevention, firefighting, search and rescue, casualty handling, camouflage, bomb disposal, and disaster management. The civil defence volunteers across the country have remained actively involved in the national drive of taking precautionary measures and combating the consequences of Covid-19 pandemic. Around 69,820 volunteers, have been deputed to assist district administrations in awareness dissemination campaigns,

public movement management in lockdown, facilitation services in quarantine areas, and other tertiary hospitals. These volunteers are proactively performing duties during the ongoing lock-down, as and when called for duty by the local authorities and law enforcement agencies.

In order to augment the capacity building process of LEAs, the Federal Minister for Interior, Government of Pakistan, along with Director General Civil Defence, handed over complete bomb disposal kits donated by the US and the UK to Frontier Corps Baluchistan at Quetta and One (01) US BDU Kit to Civil Defence Baluchistan at Quetta on 20th September 2019. He also handed over two BDU kits to Frontier Corps KPK South at Dera Ismail Khan the next day.

Each Bomb Disposal kit contains: 4 MIL Anti-Static Ploy Bags (500 Pack), Tactical Flashlights (Rechargeable), Surgical Masks (20 Pack), Tyvek Coveralls (25 pack), Garmin-e-Trex GPS, Laser Range Finder, Bomb Disposal Suit, and EOD Helmet, etc.
