BUILDING ANALYSIS CLIENT: Ordsall Hall LOCATION: Salford DURATION: 6 weeks
Preparing an in-depth report on Ordsall Hall, a complex historical building that has been the subject to major amendments and alterations in the past. This was to be completed in a team of six students in order to build team working skills. My specific role within the team was to produce to-scale external elevation drawings of Ordsall Hall.

TASK 3: Prepare a set of design concept drawings for given scenario. SCENARIO: ‘A historical re-enactment company is engaged to stage the Peterloo Massacre in the ground of the Hall. In the evening they will be billeted in tents on the lawn. Within the hall the itself a documentary team will re-enact the actual billeting of civil war soldiers.’ To the right is an image of four hand-drawings I completed for this scenario to show how I would use Ordsall Hall to re-enact the Peterloo Massacre. These were created using black ink on hand-made paper sown together.
