How parents can support their child‌. Examination periods can be an extremely stressful and pressurised time for teenagers. It is important to remember that the final exam in English tests the student’s ability to read and produce non-fiction texts. Students must be encouraged to revise regularly in productive environments. Success on this exam is as much about practice and technique as it is understanding. Within school, all students are offered the skills to perform well on the exam; time at home and revision sessions can be used to perfect and develop these skills, making it much easier for your child to achieve, if not excel, their MCA target grade.
