It’s also home to the impressive Millennium Stadium, magnificent Castle and the Museum & Gallery of Wales (free admission), which is a treasure house displaying world renowned paintings. St Fagan’s, beautifully set in the grounds of a 16th century castle, brings history to life and is one of the foremost open-air Museums in Europe (free admission). Depart 8.30am. Cheddar & Wells u Friday 2 September We travel first to delightful Cheddar. As well as being famous for its cheese, the village is home to the famous Cheddar Gorge. There is time to explore the famous Caves (admission not included) and some of the many other attractions before continuing to Wells, known as ‘The Jewel of the Mendips’. Wells is the smallest city in England and has the charm of a village, with a fine medieval street, Bishop’s Palace and a beautiful Gothic cathedral. Depart 8.30am and arrive 11.00am approx. Lincoln u Monday 29 August Known as a ‘city in the countryside’ Lincoln is one of England’s finest historic cities, with a magnificent three-spired cathedral. Liverpool – Royal Albert Dock u Monday 30 May & Wednesday 27 July Liverpool is most famous for its shipping history, perhaps take a cruise on the river Mersey or why not visit one of the many museums. The Albert Dock area offers an interesting array of waterfront shops, cafes together with many reminders of its past. The Tate Gallery, Maritime Museum and the ‘Beatles Story’, a shrine to the legendary pop group, are all found here. (Admissions are not included)

Llandudno u Tuesday 2 August Llandudno is the largest resort in Wales and boasts a unique location. Lying between the western Great Orme and eastern Little Orme are two beautiful beaches, the award winning north shore and the sand dunned west shore. Perhaps take a ride on the Great Orme Tramway and enjoy the views from the Great Orme summit or take a stroll along the longest pier in Wales.

Southwold, Suffolk u Friday 19 August The town of Southwold on the East coast of England is the Jewel in the crown of the East Suffolk seaside resorts. It is a tranquil place, a peaceful haven, with a superb award-winning beach, and one of the country’s most famous piers. The town has three dominant landmarks, when approaching from inland, the huge water tower, the tower of the parish church of St Edmund’s and the magnificent whitewashed lighthouse. Southwold is home to the famous Adnams brewery which has been brewing here for over 300 years, with other attractions including, at the entrance to the harbour, the Royal National Lifeboat Station, a unique building with its own story of being rescued from the sea.

Weymouth u Wednesday 10 August Weymouth's fine Georgian seafront is an impressive backdrop to the long arc of fine, golden sand. Whitby u Tuesday 16 August This historic small fishing town is part of the Heritage Coast of North East England. It was the home of the most famous 18th Century explorer and voyager, Captain James Cook. The ruins of St.Hilda's Abbey can be seen high above the town's East Cliff. There are plenty of pubs and cafes for refreshments or simply just enjoy the wild and wonderful scenery. There are lots of attractions to be found in and around Whitby and the shopping experience is excellent with many shops selling ornaments and jewellery made from the famous Whitby Jet. Winchester u Monday 22 August An unspoilt cathedral city on the edge of the rolling South Downs, Winchester is England's ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. Wye Valley & Symonds Yat West u Friday 12 August The Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty straddles the border between England and Wales. We follow the River Wye southwards stopping at Ross-on-Wye before heading to Symonds Yat West. Perhaps pay a visit to the Butterfly Zoo and the Amazing Hedge Puzzle. After lunch we make a short comfort stop at Tintern, where the 14th century ruined Abbey has a beautiful setting before continuing on to the old market town of Chepstow. Directions Our premises are situated one mile north of Henley, on the A3400, travelling towards Birmingham. DRIVER COURIER Upon arrival, enter via the ‘Entrance’ gateway and follow the signs for ‘Express Parking’. For passengers being dropped off and collected later there is ample space. Cancellation (a) By the Company If, due to less than 20 bookings, we are forced to cancel any excursion, we reserve the right to do so up to 2 working days prior to departure. All monies paid by passengers will be refunded and following that, we shall be exempt from further liability. (b) By the Passenger You may cancel your booking at any time, subject to these conditions: (i) With more than 2 working days prior to departure you will receive a refund of £5.00 per person. (ii) With less than 2 working days’ notice, the £19 per person fare is non-refundable. Alterations The company reserves the right to alter or cancel any excursion listed in this brochure, or to change the size and specification of vehicle used. On occasion it may be necessary to allocate a vehicle with a larger seating capacity. When this occurs please be advised that seat numbers may change. Unaccompanied Children Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age.
