in the middle of bustling soho, the pièce de résistance at this new boutique hotel is a four story wrought-iron inter courtyard complete with moroccan tile and ivy window boxes. just like what you’d find in paris.

with hazelnut waffles, steak frites and champagne pick-me-ups to wash it all down, this traditional bistro is still one of the most popular n.y.c. brunch spots 20 years after it opened. can’t get a table? swing by its bakery and grab a baguette to go.

formal french dining (think frog legs and white table linens) feels fresh thanks to gregarious décor and diners.

THE NOMAD HOTEL 1170 broadway, 212.796.1500 thenomadhotel.com a fully-restored, turn of the century hotel where the exterior boasts a beaux-arts style facade and the interiors are by jacques garcia, who designed the hotel costes in paris. so most of the furniture—including the spiral staircase in the library bar—are also french imports. tres, tres français.
