For 161 years, Columbia College has educated and empowered women leaders. This year, we launched new programs designed for women entrepreneurs to support this rapidly growing sector in South Carolina. FastTrac® NewVenture™ for Female Entrepreneurs is a 10-session educational program designed for women just starting out in their business. Sessions include: > Exploring Entrepreneurship > Identifying in Meeting Market Needs > Setting Financial Goals > Planning the Project/Service > Researching and Analyzing the Market > Reaching the Market > Building the Organization and Team > Planning for a Profitable Business > Monitoring Cash Flow in Seeking Funds > Implementing Next Steps

Special curriculum will be offered specific to the challenges women entrepreneurs face, including communications skills, negotiating and confidence-building tactics, coupled with three business coaching sessions with the SC Women’s Business Center, and access to Columbia College’s mentor and alumni networks. We have only a handful of seats le in the Upstate class, which starts March 29th. Tuition is $500, payable with a $50 seat deposit, followed by three monthly $150 installments. Tuition includes 10 class sessions, meals, three business coaching sessions and a graduation showcase. This program is offered in partnership with the SC Department of Commerce, Bank of America, Center for Women, and The Harbor Entrepreneurship Center.
