Letter from Your Lieutenant Governor Happy New Year Division 25W! During the first weekend of 2018, the District Board met in Irving, Texas to conduct business and discuss about ways to improve our District and to have a fantastic District Convention in April. Speaking of DCON, the registration is now open! The registration cost is $140.40 (including convenience fee) and there are SO MANY exciting things in store so make sure you’re looking forward to DCON. Seniors, don’t forget the scholarship application is due on Feb 10th. You have to go to DCON in order to get the scholarship because there is an interview process. Make sure to check out page 7 for DCON Information!! Thank you so much for those of you who attended the Divisional Election Conference and electing me and giving me the opportunity to serve our division again for another term! I look forward to working with your clubs and advisors for an even more successful year! Clubs should be having club officer elections at the end of February or early March. Key Club calendar runs from district convention to convention and the idea is to shadow the current officers and learn the job before the school year ends so they are ready to carry out their duties right when their terms begins. Please invite me to your officer election meetings! I can help with the election and induction process and I would love to meet with the new officers! If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will get to you as soon as possible! Yours in Caring and Service, Kathryn Aung Volume 1 | Issue 10 | Region 3 | Division 25W | Texas-Oklahoma District

Halo Movement Key Club International teamed up with partner Nickelodeon to award money to Key Clubs with inspiring projects to help people in their schools and communities. During its inaugural funding round, the HALO Movement contest received applications from 65 Key Clubs around the world. Thanks to your votes, 11 of those Key Clubs have collectively earned more than USD$11,500 to fund service projects ranging from animal adoption fairs and educational after-school workshops to disaster relief and literacy programs. Nickelodeon’s HALO campaign shines a light on kids who improve their communities by funding projects that help and support the new HALO Movement. The HALO Movement embodies the spirit of helping others: If each of us contributes to helping and leading others, no matter how small or large the project, we collectively can create one big movement to effect change. Nickelodeon wants to reflect your desire to improve your corner of the world — and give you the necessary tools for action. Join the movement and tell us how you HALO. Visit WeHalo.com to find out more. Apply online starting February 1, 2018, for a chance to receive funding for your project. #WeHALO Volume 1 | Issue 10 | Region 3 | Division 25W | Texas-Oklahoma District
