Letter from Your Lieutenant Governor Hiii ya Division 25W, The month of July has been kinda rambunctious. I was in San Antonio for International Convention, Dallas for our district summer board meeting and now I’m currently in Chicago, finishing up this newsletter. As we all come to the realization that summer is ending and school will be rolling in a while, I strongly encourage everyone to start recruiting new members for your club. International Convention had been an amazing experience! I got to meet so many dedicated Key Clubbers from coast to coast and outside the US as well as listening and asking questions to candidates for international officers for 5 hours in the caucusing room. And of course, Fiesta Texas Six Flags was such a thrill. Some important district updates: We have elected a new district governor, Sabrina Palma, immediate past District Treasurer so we now also have a new District Treasurer, Foster Hillis. I have their contact information on the last page of this newsletter. Our governor’s project for this key club year is Special Needs Support and our district project is helping the Homeless Community so please try to incorporate these projects in your Key Club service. I will be providing with more information in the next newsletter. There will be a governor’s visit sometime during either Sep 2nd or Sep 9th at Cushing, Oklahoma. You will have the opportunity to meet our newly elected district governor, and district staff so be anticipating for more information coming soon. July Task And Article Prompts Attend a K-family meeting. This includes Kiwanis, Circle K, etc. Simply put your K-family meeting on your Main Page and you will receive an additional 10 points for your reports. Please note that you will also receive the awarded 5 points that you would get for going any other month! If you attend more than 1 K-family meeting, you will receive an additional 5 points for each 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
How does your club recruit new members? Describe some tactics on recruiting freshman and some upperclassmen. Did you attend ICON? Write about your experience! What attributes did Key Club help you develop and how? Have you attended a DCM/PCM yet? What did you enjoy and why? Did you learn anything new? Submit a Humans of Texas Oklahoma! How was your Key Club Experience and what is Key Club to you? Submit with a picture of you
You are always free to write about any Key Club-related topic! The articles should each have at least 1 JPG photo and be sent as Microsoft Word documents. Have the author, school name, division, article title, and prompt/whatever topic you choose at the top of the document. Reminders Treasurer Webinars Our district treasurer will be holding 1-2 webinars each month over Skype. The goal of these webinars is to clarify any confusion in being a Treasurer and hopefully make the job easier. These are not exclusive to club treasurers.
