Getting the balance between building and maintaining a fun twisting trail, whilst having minimal impact on the environment can a tricky business but this is one of the Northside Trail Care Alliance’s (NTCA) primary goals. The group were delighted to take delivery of an electric wheelbarrow (eBarrow) last month thanks to a Moreton Bay Regional Council grant. This electric wheelbarrow seeks to minimise damage the trail surface and have the same footprint as a normal wheelbarrow, whilst also assisting and improving the safety for volunteers when transporting materials and tools up or down the narrow, and sometimes steep trails. The eBarrow has proven to be a true productivity multiplier and game changer for the group.
