Zaferia’s new logo is a dynamic Z shape composed of 2 interlocking angles with sharp edges. The name “Zaferia” is placed below it to help brand recognition. Eventually, the word “Zaferia” can be removed, leaving only the Z shape as brand builds equity. The Zaferia logo combines several ideas essential to the personality of this vibrant business district. The main concepts are togetherness, strength, and movement, and a degree of edginess that sets it apart from other business districts. The interlocking shapes symbolize two hands coming together in a handshake. The shapes also suggest the movement of traffic and business on Anaheim Street. The lines are strong and sharp symbolizing the strength and interesting personality of the district. The logo colors will be dependent upon the context of where it is placed. In most cases, we have chosen black, white, or green. The style guide accompanying the logo outlines in detail how the logo can be used.

monochrome and white out Monochrome When monochrome is used, then all elements are to be 100% black. This form of the logo must only be used against background colors light enough to hold enough contrast to maintain legibility.

other color uses In special situations, the Zaferia logo can be a different color. The ENTIRE logo must be the same color at all times and the logo must be against a background color strong and either dark or light enough to hold enough contrast to maintain legibility.

exclusion zone The ‘exclusion zone’ refers to the area around the logo which must remain free from other copy to ensure that the logo is not obscured. As the diagram indicates, the ‘exclusion zone’ is equal to that of the cap height of Zaferia.
