trainer that I have ever met is always on the watch to see what they can learn to improve their horsemanship skills. So what separates the really good hands from the almost but not quite there ones? The answer to that question is the Billion dollar prize! In my travels I have discovered that for the most part people are the same when you really get to know them. We like it when people like us, we love a good adventure, and we want enough money to enjoy life and to be comfortable. Trouble comes to everyone at times as do times of great joy. By now you might be saying so tell me something I donʹt know already, I donʹt have time to take some kind of a Pollyanna feel good trip on things I already know. Right? Why do we think like that? Could it be because we are so much alike? If we are so much alike then why are there so much diﬀerences when it comes to how we operate our horses? Have you noticed that usually the horse that a person rides will be similar in how that owner rides and act? If a

next horse they ride will usually be that way as well. Note I said usually. Words like sometime, often times and usually are good words to use when talking about horse human interaction! So then there must be some sort of a predictable perhaps even measurable difference in people that produce predictable and measurable differences in their horses. I really believe I have found the answer to this question. I will be glad to provide my pay pal account so you can pay your billion for this answer. I would even be glad to take payments. If you havenʹt already figured my sense of humor is a bit warped at times. You should note that you will have to be able to at least laugh at your self from time to time as you work on the answer to this billion dollar question or you might just as well check yourself into the mental ward right now because you will meet with a lot of obstacles on this journey that will stop you in your tracks unless you are prepared ahead of time. The answer to the billion dollar question is this: it really is in the think ing that a person has; Thoughts hold in them the power to overcome adversity as well as the ability to allow unwanted things to come to pass. Thoughts of fear and doubt produce results of shortfall and discouragement, thoughts of victory can produce results of victory. The only difference in people is how they think !

o then if how we think is the key difference I believe we can greatly help ourselves by spending some time learning about the thought process that people have who already are where we want to be. It doesnʹt make any sense to me to get advice from somebodyʹs neighbor or a family member or friend that doesnʹt already have the thing that I want. I hear it all of the time through people that really donʹt know offer the most advice about what they know the least about. That is perfectly normal though I think it is called human nature. The thing that is insane is that people who donʹt know take this advice and pass it on to others who donʹt know and that’s how bad thinking grows wild. The field of thought that says I have to look like I know something is a fertile field and the wild seeds of bad thoughts grow rapidly there. This is a small look at how it works in the negative, we will discuss over the next several months on how to harness the power of right thoughts so that we can use it as the best tool that you have to improve your horsemanship journey!

About the Contest! In January we ran a cover contest through our Facebook page. We were on the search for your best horse show photos! What an overwhelming response we had!!!
