REFLECTION
Taking up Architectural Interiors was a memorable and challenging experience for me as an architecture student. I did enjoy the subject a lot more than Architectural Design even if both are entirely related. Architectural Interiors helped me remind myself that the exterior and interior spaces go hand in hand together in a structure so it may fulfill its functions to its end-users.
am doing a good job so far. I can honestly say that I need to work on adding more personality into my design as I tend to hesitate and get worried if I am adding too much elements and overthinking it wouldn’t look good in the end. Despite these shortcomings and things to work on, I can say that I have improved a lot as a student studying architecture. There is still a long way to go but I know for a fact that I have gone so far in this journey of mine.
What I enjoyed most about it is conceptualizing and planning the moodboard for the interiors. The reason for this is the satisfaction I get when I am able to collage architectural elements that balances each other out and are all in harmony.
Future students and my peers taking up architecture should remind themselves to never compare your journey to others’ progress in this profession. Everything takes time and you should be kind to yourself. Never hesistate to give your all in your designs, push yourself to your limits because you can do amazing things. Always remind yourself that Architecture is not an easy course and profession, which goes to show how brave and worthy you are in pursuing this field.
