Hello friend! A wise man once said, “If you do not know where you are coming from you won’t know where you are going”. Think about it, then think about it more. This statement is true. Knowing where you come from, your roots is important because where else will you get motivation to press forward. If you know where you come from there are no limitations to where you are going. Knowing where you come from means that you have a chance of looking back on the path you have been travelling and you will be able to see when you have missed the line. Just like the train has its rail. There is no way you will be able to miss which side it is coming from because its road is a one way. So knowing your roots, background, where you come from makes it easy for you to reflect back and see how far you are in life. It makes it easy for you to see where you have gone wrong and fix your wrongs. It is simple as this, if you don’t know where you come from, then you don’t know where you are, if you don’t know where you are you don’t know where you are going, and if you don’t know where you are going you are probably heading to the wrong direction.
Chances are, you will be lost and will be fumbling around with no direction. So let me give you this, your roots are part of your navigation system in life. Period. No matter who you are, where you are from try to look around you, look behind you and see if you are still going right. Where are my manners? Before I even go any further let me take this opportunity to welcome each and every member that is new to Untied family, the new writers and the new readers. Thank you for your love and God bless.
This month as we celebrate our Heritage, we take you back from how our African cultures celebrate Heritage month; to how we as the nation are learning slowly to embrace each other and learning to live comfortably in each other’s space. The unions of different races and many more.
Enjoy……Kaya September 2019

BEING AFRICAN We are not defined be the colour of our skin but what is in Nelson Mandela become the first black president on the 10th May 1994. After that the country reformed a lot in a good way. South Africa became a democratic country. Everyone had the same rights and opportunities.
I want to discuss Inter racial relationships and this is an issue that is sometimes swept under the carpet in our societies. I was dating a guy from a different culture a while ago. My dad did not want anything to do with me. My friends did not want to be my friends anymore. The people in the town where I used to stay in gossiped about me and him. When we went out people stared at us and made nasty comments about our relationship. Celebrities are also having a difficult time with racism remarks, this doesn’t seem to stop. Springbok star, Siya Kolisi got married to his partner and there are more relationships and friendships that are being built daily and this has become part our heritage. The wedding was so gorgeous, a real fairy tale. A racist on twitter pointed out in a post: “Go to the hell along with any other savage loving white women”. 25 Years of democracy and couples still faces discrimination and are not free.

Is It Possible for South Africans to be Friends?
You are an African when you respect your neighbour and always help each other where you can.
You must travel a lot to see South Africa and explore it.
Do not judge people by the person they are dating or married to.
Always care about yourself and rather ignore negativity around you.
Have a braai once a week, invite friends and make new friends.
Be it black or white, yellow or cream a friend is a friend. We are all human and it is high time that we let go of racism and stop shifting the blame on the apartheid system.

Developing Your Sense Of Dressing Sharp ... Part 2. We continue with our rules to dress sharp, I hope you enjoyed reading and learning part 1 that I published on our April issue . 8. EXPAND YOUR OPTIONS let's face it no one wants to be that person who wears the same outfit day in and day out, you need a bit of variety. Does this seem paradoxical to you with the previous rule? Well it shouldn't. You can trim your wardrobe and expand it at the same time. You only need to make sure that all your clothes can be worn together. 9. LAYER UP Knowing how to layer clothes will give you ultimate use of everything in your closet, and it will help you create more interesting outfits. Layering lets you play around with the clothes you have, so you should learn how to do it properly.
10. FORGET THE TRENDS, DEVELOP YOUR STYLE FIRST Many people think they have to on top of the latest trends to become more stylish. However when you start out developing your style is vastly more important. Once you figure out what image you want to portray, you can start adding trends that will work with that image. 11. LOOK EFFORTLESS NOT BOTHERLESS You shouldn't look like you've spent hours meticulously orchestrating your outfit in front of the mirror. Looking like you just grabbed some clothes out of your closet is a lot more effective. You have to look good while you looking like you not making an effort to look good.

Dress to impress But that shouldn't make you look like you didn't bother. Your clothes must still look good on you and they must work together in a way that's pleasing to the eye. You have to look like you know what you doing.
If that sounds like you, you want to expand your color horizons. You have to figure out which colors work for you and the best way to do this is to try them out (see my previous rule) 14. WEAR COLORS SPARINGLY
12. TRY NEW THINGS
When you are developing your sense of style, you want to open your mind to new types of clothing and clothing styles. You should try things you never would have thought to wear before. You would be amazed how good you could look in items that you previously thought weren't you. Try on everything and anything will teach you more about your personal style that all the styles and fashion bloggers couldn't combined. 13. LEARN TO LOVE COLORS Many people don't seem to like wearing colors that much. Many of us stick to the basic colors.
While you should learn to love colors, you want to avoid wearing too many of them at the beginning of your style journey. You'll risk wearing incompatible colors since you probably don't know how to match them yet. Also you can still stick to just wearing one color at a time for now, and keep the rest neutral. Once you're further educated you can start trying to combine them. Till the next issue Untied fashionistas when we zip up our rules on how to dress sharp. Written by Nomangwane Flatela

WHY DESIGNER CLOTHES ARE SO EXPENSIVE? WHAT'S IN THE NAME? Ever wonder what could make a regular cotton blend tee-shirt to cost more than two months’ rent? Me too. And most of the time it turns out that even the people selling the EXPENSIVE goods have no idea why they cost as much as they do. I was curious as to why a pair of Jimmy Choo slip on sneakers were selling on over a thousand rands. At first glance their sneaker don't look that much different from your regular Vans sneakers. The material may be a bit higher end-leather and studs than a canvas pair of Vans, but the sole and basic shape is the same. Jimmy Choo is a high end designer that's obvious and not particularly helping the person who doesn't understand what's in the name.
So I researched. It’s not always the end product that's going to cost you your 1st born, it’s the research and development that goes into the end product, similarly how much research and development goes into manufacturing a pair of shoes for which the shape and style already been invented?. Do you really need to pay more than a thousand rands for someone to reinvent the wheel-alvery stylish metal studs covered wheel? Well probably not, but perhaps there is an explanation for it. Let’s consider the right costs of producing luxury product and gross margins for luxury companies. There are many steps along the way that contribute to the final price, cost of raw materials, manufacturing and fulfilment. At the retail there is cost of prime real estate and sales stuff and finally there's marketing, those glossy fashion adverts cost a pretty penny to produce, let alone to place.

In many cases designers up the price on their products simply to gain an added sheen of prestige and exclusivity. So the short answer to why designers charge so frigid much for their products? It’s "Because they can". Wealthy people express their wealth by spending as much as they can on high end items. For them it's the price tag as much as the products it's self that makes an item remarkable. The price tag and the inverse effect of imbuing the purchaser with power. The price of high end goods just keeps escalating and why not....in the eyes of the designer there seem to be no shortage of consumers who believe they can buy personal power through what they wear. They want items that are in short supply or made in limited runs and they are prepared to pay top dollar to make that happen. The more expensive something is the more exclusive and therefore, desirable it becomes. Most of the time designers would raise the prices to increase appeal to the upper end its customer base and attract new wealthier customers, so next time you get bummed that you can't afford something remember it’s not you its them. IS THE DESIGNER CLOTHING ACTUALLY WORTH IT? As for me the majority of my wardrobe is not designer clothing ,but I do own few pieces, and do I really feel a difference in wearing said designers over something that is a fraction of the price at retail that is? "answer is YES". I can honestly say that I do, but it doesn't apply to everything, only the major pieces that require proper tailoring or craftsmanship such as shoes and coats.
u
ntied
There are pieces that I could like from designers such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, but the overall look not my style in those designers. I loathe that ubiquitous brown print with symbols or that flash of the tri-colour red, green and white although they are well made. I do think that the Burberry check is hideous as well, but I certainly can feel the quality in their clothing for trench coats. They make the impeccable tailored and fitted coat, and lowerend retail stores simply don't have the time, money or resources to produce such a coat so they stick to their lower price points. WHAT IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE OTHER THAN THE PRICE TAG I would say The materials are generally better. The clothing tends to feel better. They generally last longer. DESIGNER OR NOT..... Ignore the label or who made it, and focus on these three things before you damage your bank account. - The material- is it made of cheap polyester and acrylic or its cashmere and silk. - The craftsmanship- where is it made, is it tailored well, and will it last beyond few washes. - The style aesthetic of the piece- can I wear it until I am 70? Then after I can look at the price. So if the price tag says few thousands for a coat, and I have researched and exhausted all other avenues of finding a similar trench coat without brand name but equal quality and craftsmanship, I am more inclined to bite the bullet and just buy it.

ntied u Your fashion sense
speaks volumes Currently we are living in the decade where there is a lot of communication going on. I am one of those who have been privileged to know and understand that it is not only the sound making items that speaks but also items that have no ability to speak in the “human point of view”. I don’t think some of us do understand that, everyday our fashion choices and personal style send specific messages about us. It has been proven quite a number of times, firstly by those who are close to us, secondly on the streets, thirdly at school and lastly in the work place. Some of us wear certain fashion because other people in our groups wear them, which is a rather peculiar impression when we take a moment to ponder it. We follow trends that somebody in the fashion industry sets for the season and we hurry to the store to keep up with the times. Not everyone is so keen about these set trends some follow fashion shrewdly, picking and choosing the pieces they like, and this works out for them. They create their own style and there are certain beings that are even able to create their own trends using their own creativity. Other people refuse to follow it entirely and conform to the counterculture, which is still technically a form of conforming. Pause for a second and evaluate the outfit you are wearing right now. Your clothes and personal style speak dimensions of sizes about you. Sometimes your appearance says more than the words you say, especially to those who do not know you. For an example you can’t go to an interview wearing a pink miniskirt with a leopard printed crop top. There minute you enter the reception area, they will think twice before they hire you.

August 2019
Your attire may be cool and hip but that is all there is to it, cool and hip. Though you may be the suitable candidate for the position you are applying for, chances are your CV will be shoved under a pile of old documents or in the dust bin. As cute as you may be, fact remains that at the office you ought to be decent and professional. Your outfit may be trending but in the corporate world it tells people something else about you. A blazer and skirt makes a different statement than a worn-out pair of black jeans. Our personal style speaks of our identity, our characters and informs those around us about the varied “societies” we belong to. Some of us belong to the corporate tribe of business managers, while others fall in with free-spirited artists. If you take a good look at everyone around you their clothing items will tell you a lot about them. Go to the streets where prostitutes stand and wait for clients wearing a skimpy top with a very short skirt, and see if you will be left alone or be approached by potential clients. Go to the bank wearing a suit and a tie and see what kind of attention will you be fishing. Whatever your style may be truth remains, it communicates. It says more than enough before you even introduce yourself.
Well, where do we fit in? There’s two philosophies out about how fashion is incorporated in our daily lives. The trickle-down effect explains how styles originate with designers and celebrities, before they slowly make their way down to us “commoners,” as explained flawlessly by Meryl Streep who plays Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada:

Fashion Reflects Expansion Of Women's Role In Society Fashion is the form of expression and has long been influenced by women's place in society. Gender has long controlled an individual's role in society as it set certain expectations for men and women. For instance , it was not common among women to wear pants until the 1920's when women began to proliferate in the work place. Today it is just common to see women wearing pants in fact women have adopted the traditional menswear of the pantsuit. There is often a misconception that fashion means just clothing. Yet fashion is a whole system of processes that affect all types of cultural phenomena and is put simply, a code or a language that helps people understand the meaning and symbol around these cultural phenomena.
In the fields of sociology and consumer culture there are several models that describes how the meaning is transmitted through the fashion system to the end consumers and women play a major role in that. Women form a big part of the fashion system, not just as people who helps decipher fashion codes (to define what is hot and fashionable now) but also as end consumers themselves. Due to women's close association to fashion, whether that is clothing, shoes, accessories, hairstyles, make-up and cosmetics, even mundane aspects of dress like underwear women simply seem to have more choices than men. Fashion provides the raw material for women to express different aspects of their identity in their everyday lives.

Women are workers, white collar professionals, politician, academics, professional athletes even priests they are also mothers, partners, lovers and as just girls who want to have fun. How Low Is Really Low? The fashion industry giants have dedicated millions to massive PR campaigns, going so far as to launch conscious collections and donate proceeds to worthy causes. Yet despite these efforts, the truth remains, fashion is one of the dirtiest industries in the world. Here’s what they don’t want you to know: The fashion industry is designed to make you feel “out of trend” after one month or week. Back in the day there were two fashion seasons which is Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. Then when you fast forward to 2018 you would notice that the fashion industry is rolling out plus minus 20 something micro-seasons per year. With new trends coming out every week, the goal of fast fashion is for consumers to buy as many garments as possible, as quickly as possible. According to Elizabeth Cline in her book Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion, fast-fashion merchandise is typically priced much lower than the competition, operating on a business model of low quality / high volume. With designers creating new looks on a weekly basis, the fashion calendar for these companies is set up to deliberately make the customer feel offtrend after the first wear. Discounts aren’t really discounts. The spendthrift fashionistas love the idea of going into an outlet store and coming out with designer labels at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately, the additional or unsellable items we think we’re buying often have never seen a designer label before. Despite common belief, outlet clothing never enters a regular store and is most likely produced in an entirely different factory than the regular clothing. The reality is that outlets broker deals with designers so they can put designer labels on the cheaply made clothing manufactured in their own low-quality factories.
32
September 2019
So it is not as if you are buying discounted or out of season merchandise at their stores, you are just buying lower quality range. There is lead and hazardous chemicals on your clothing. According to research other popular fast-fashion chains are still selling lead-contaminated purses, belts and shoes above the legal amount, years after signing a settlement agreeing to limit the use of heavy metals in their products. Lead exposure has also been linked to higher rates of infertility in women and increased risks of heart attacks, strokes and high blood pressure. Many scientists agree there is no safe level of lead exposure for anyone. Clothing is designed to fall apart. Fast fashion giants, such as H&M and Zara, are concerned with the bottom line and the bottom line alone. Their business models are dependent on the consumers’ desire for new clothing to wear, which is instinctive if the clothing falls apart in one wash. Some of these store put a small mark-up on the clothes and earn their profit out of selling an ocean of clothing. Nowadays we throw away over thousands of rands of textiles per year. We’re not talking about clothing being donated to charity shops or sold to second hand stores, this clothing is going directly into landfills. Because most of our clothing today is made with synthetic, petroleum-based fibres, it will take decades for these garments to decompose. So how can you become a more conscious consumer? It starts by educating yourself, buying local, buying less, buying used and buying from independent designers. You can start by joining a growing movement of fashion change makers here.

Change your toothbrush regularly
Use fluoride
If the bristles of your toothbrush start to weaken and fray at the ends, making it less effective, that’s a sign that you need to change it. Replace it every three to four months, and rinse them properly after brushing.
A natural mineral that hardens tooth enamel and prevents cavities, fluoride is essential for maintaining your teeth. Use fluoride toothpaste or rinse your mouth out with mouthwashes that contain fluoride.

What causes hair loss New research reveals that, genetics aside, the next strongest predictor of midline (central) hair loss among women is their marital status, with the loss of a spouse (through either divorce or death) raising the risk for thinning hair above that of married or single women. Most likely, stress is the aspect of a troubling divorce that appears to lead to hair loss among women. Smoking, drinking and hair loss Excessive drinking and/or smoking also appear to boost the risk for hair loss among women, the study found. But in other respects the two genders were affected differently, with various patterns of male hair loss sparked by overexposure to the sun, cancer history and having a "couch potato" lifestyle, among others. In the first study, the authors focused exclusively on a pool of 84 female identical twins, all of whom completed lifestyle questionnaires, followed by hormone blood level testing and an extensive photo analysis of their hair. Across the temporal area of the head, the team found that the more years a woman had smoked the greater the hair loss. A history of skin conditions also contributed to hair loss in that area, while having just a couple drinks per week actually seemed to reduce the risk. Hair loss in the coronal area (nearer the top) of the head among women was linked to being diabetic having some form of skin disease and being a current smoker,

while being overweight or obese was associated with lower risk of hair loss. The findings indicate that female hair loss can also be sparked by excessive sleeping patterns, as well as situations commonly associated with stress such as having multiple children and/or getting married. Women who drank coffee, used sun protection (such as a hat) and were happily married all faced a lower overall risk for hair loss, he added. The results: in addition to smoking and sun exposure, having a history of dandruff also boosted midline hair loss risk, while cumulative sun exposure and a history of cancer elevated risk for both temporal and coronal hair loss. Men who didn't exercise regularly and had high blood pressure also had a higher risk for coronal hair loss. Men who exercised outdoors a lot also face a higher risk for hair loss, and sun exposure could play a role there.
careers Entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs wanna be The only difference between people who want to be entrepreneurs and the ones who actually are is the work and the risk of getting started. If you feel like you want to be an entrepreneur but aren’t certain if you’re ready yet, here are five questions to help you determine your capabilities. 1. How comfortable are you with being uncomfortable? Entrepreneurship will mean a lot of uncertainty. If you’re the kind of person who needs a lot of control and a strictly scheduled life, you may not be able to handle the ambiguity that surrounds entrepreneurism. That being said, don’t think just because uncertainty makes you nervous you can’t be an entrepreneur. If you find you have a need for a controlled schedule, that trait could actually work in your favor. Entrepreneurship requires long hours, hard work and dedication when you start out. Being able to manage your schedule and control your environment could help you with the organization of your business. However, you might want to plan before you leap in. A few great ways to do this are to stockpile savings, already have a business plan you’re prepared to work and seek out a community of support to talk you through the tough times. Related: Risk is the Admission Fee of Entrepreneurship 2. Are you disciplined? You are totally responsible for yourself. Right now, wherever you’re at, whatever you’re doing -- it’s your choices that got you here. How do those statements feel to you? If you feel yourself bristling and ready to argue, then you might not be in the right mindset for entrepreneurship yet.

When you start, you must take full accountability for everything -- there’s no back-up plan on why you got passed over for a promotion or why you didn’t get your report done on time. Clients won’t want excuses and they’ll drop you.
Even when it’s their fault you have to be prepared to deal with the possibility that you’ll have to handle it. You need discipline to survive and stay ahead of your work, ahead of your bills and to grow your business. If you struggle with accountability and discipline, don’t rule out entrepreneurship forever. Take stock of ways your current situation could be improved by better decisions and try holding yourself accountable. 3. How’s your health? Taking care of your body is important for everyone, but can have particularly far-reaching implications for the entrepreneur. There are no sick days in entrepreneurship when you’re getting started. There’s a chance there won’t be for years. That’s going to mean you have to be productive, even when you don’t feel good, or risk missing business opportunities. You have to keep yourself in good health with diet and exercise that keeps your body strong and your mind keen. Related: When Passion Is a Pitfall and Seeking Bliss Is Bogus If you aren’t a healthy person, you may want to figure out a plan for improving your lifestyle before you transition into entrepreneurship.

Also important, think of how you’ll cover health insurance and medical needs when you start your journey. Get a plan for your health and work it.
4. Do you love what you do and are you good at it? There are going to be long hours in entrepreneurship. If you enjoy what you’re doing and are passionate about your project, that intense amount of work is enjoyable. Don’t fool yourself into thinking money alone will be enough to motivate you.

Make sure you’re passionate about what you’re intending to pursue as an entrepreneur and that you have the skill set to get to work. If you don’t, consider how you can improve your skills before making the leap and how you might get involved in something you’re passionate about doing.

5. Do you play well with others? You might think entrepreneurship is a solo activity, but the truth is that having great relationships is crucial to long-term success. It's not only for the value that comes from referrals and the camaraderie of close relationships, but also for the support you will need. If you’re starting out as an entrepreneur, you’re going to have periods where you need to rely on the strength, wisdom and friendship of others.

Overspending will dent your credit profile and bank account The love for clothes nowadays has grown exceptionally strong especially in young people. As much as we need clothes to cover us up and make us look good we go nuts about spending money on clothes especially when there is also fashion trend going on. We cannot avoid to be left behind because we all want to look good, because when you look good you feel good. One of the things that drives young people insane about clothes is what’s trending. If we see this new jacket or jeans we so want to own it. In most cases this happens between the ages 15 and 25, these are the most obsessed people about clothes. Whenever they are given money by their parents, what comes quickly to their mind is clothes. They think about buying these name branded clothes which are the most expensive ones. We go on and on about spending money buying clothes that we don't even need, sometimes even forgetting that these clothes that we are purchasing on we don't really need them. Some go even an extra mile for something that they might have or repeat the same clothing items.
What we really don't know about spending too much is it affects our bank balances or rather our savings badly. Spending can be such a good thing if you do it in a right manner, which would be if you know how to use a small purse or wallet or know how to use a bank savings account. Others open up credit accounts that they don't need to take clothes whenever they feel like, not knowing that they are slowly entering themselves into debts of a lifetime. It all starts small with taking something one at a time and enjoying taking something because you only paying later and sometimes that late becomes a never. So here's a tip to someone who loves to spend on clothes: Buy something in a rare color, you'll be surprised at how often you wear it. Budgeting s very important, do not spend on items you didn’t plan to buy.

Finding your ideal career
S
ometimes it can be so hard to find the career of your dreams. After years of studying and preparing yourself for yourself for the future one would think that it is going to be easy to get a proper job or job in the industry of ones dreams. To be frank, it is not easy but very difficult to acquire a dream job nowadays, and then you are left with few or no options on the job market and end up settling for less. Settling for less would mean applying for jobs below your aspirations, way below than where you have set up your standards. In my opinion there is nothing wrong or disgraceful in getting yourself a job that will help you earn remunerations honestly. But it seems unfair that after doing what is required of you to do (studying), then when you have finished studying and can meet the requirements of the industry you were preparing for only to find out that they (industry) are not ready to receive you (no jobs at all). It is quite daunting if I must say. But in all that do not despair, you will find your way to your dream career. You just need faith and a little push to the right direction. Here are a few sites that will help you realise your dream. You will also get to find out how much you know about yourself and the industry you want to enter.

THE TRUE TEST OF STRENGTH "If you falter in a time of trouble how small is your strength!" PROVERBS 24:10. All of us somehow believe that we are strong people, though we may admit our weakness in certain areas, we would never admit that we are altogether weak. If you therefore believe that you are strong the question would be you are strong against what? Strength I think is not wishful thinking, strength is not imagined, and strength is actually tested and proved to be there. There is a litmus test that everyone's strength needs to go through, and that is called TROUBLE. The scripture I quoted above, says if you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength. Troubles come to test our endurance. Troubles come to check how brittle you are. Troubles come to test if our bark is more than our bite. Troubles come to test how bright your light is and if it will quickly be snuffed out by the winds. Troubles come to test if you are standing upon sand or upon the rock, whether you will be blown away or you will stand and after you done standing you will stand again. The most important thing, the true test of strength is not faltering. Do not give up, do not give in, fight the good fight of faith.

The book of JEREMIAH 12:5 "If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in a safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?" Troubles are forever with us therefore we need not falter against them but face them head on and come out victorious. God bless you.

your flaws are the shadow of your strength am that shy girl, the girl that would sit at the corner and no one would ever notice. Paying no mind to anybody, minding my own business and enjoying my own space in every way I can. Attending my own thoughts, at the same time getting a nice view in observing human kind. Some people say I have pride some say I am self-centred, well a lot of people have a lot to say about me, but none has quite figured me out. No one knows that I am actually just a person who enjoys her own company. Like any other young woman I have flaws, and mine I learned to embrace. It took me time to except me for who I am, to enjoy me and feel beautiful. It took me decades to realize that other people's opinions matter, but sometimes they don't fit in on my personal journey. I learned that the only opinion that matters is mine and of cause the opinion of God. Not because I don't value other people's point of view but some things are just no longer for me. The ugly comments, the way people look at you, my God, that! When someone gives you that look, the look that " Hum, and then why you looking like that? the look can be very depressive, but guess what? It doesn't matter. Oh yes, as I was saying that I too have flaws and having them doesn't mean that there is nothing I can be better at.
It doesn't mean you are less important or there are certain places you can't go to. But your flaws are the shadow of your strength. They carry you to the mall to do shopping, to your Yoga class and also goes with you to your plastic surgeon. No matter where you go they follow, always together like Simons twins or better your hip. Some of us tend to describe flaws as if it’s only a physical thing, focus more on the outward appearance instead of the inner man. In my opinion you can have flaws in different dimensions. They are your weaknesses, your mistakes and over all imperfections and believe me no amount of makeup can cover up those and not even your skin doctor can help you. You don't have to live with them they can be fixed but not with eyebrows and lipstick. They are your flaws and your flaws are a part of who you are, embrace them they may end up bringing you victory.

A1, Moving towards his aspirations Young people are assertively making their way to the top. They are not only dreaming but they are also working sure they get what they want. We had a conversation with Abongile Mabona an aspiring music producer, and musician. We got to know more about his work. For anybody who doesn't know you, please introduce yourself. I go by the name Abongile Mabona but I'm known as A1-STING. When did your love for music begin? In high School, that's where it all started. Would you say that music is your calling? Yes music is my calling. I also get to connect with other talented performers like me because of music. Who have you worked with so far? I've worked with NiQco, AV, Penny brace and Roody fashino. How difficult is it for a young person like yourself to break into the musical arena?
It’s very difficult more especially when you come from a family that doesn't have much. But I try not to let that hold me back from reaching my goals as an artist.

Have you released an album or single yet? If yes can you please do the honours of telling us more? I have released singles so far, some of them are recs that I've just made with some of the artists I've already mentioned on top. There’s no album coming up, but I am about to drop a single again next month. What was the message on your songs? And who is the target market?
What more can we look out from you in the near future? The near future you should expect more and more singles from me and the crew. Any advice to young people who aspire to become artists?
All I have to say to the young ones who want get into music is that they have to at least be patient. Np one becomes a star overnight.
My songs are very clear because I write about myself and what I go through as young artist. My music is probably for the Youth. Who do you work with, and who writes the songs? Most of the time I work with my crew AMP and every artist in my crew writes for themselves. Is there a particular song or musical passage that never fails to move you emotionally?
What is your inspiration? My inspiration comes from my first track that I did with NiQco and AV, our first song became a hit and it opened a lot of doors for me.

There is one song though that I just released earlier this year, It's entitled ‘I'm ohk’. Basically this song I wrote it just to let my late mother know that she doesn't have to worry about anything and that I'm here to take care of the family.
