EXERCISE 1:
A Vocabulary and A Grammar Exericise 1.1
Produce three abstract 4.5� cubes from three elements: linear, planar, and volume to understand different operations, as well as formal concepts
Exercise 1.2
Use the cubes produced in Ex. 1.1 to produce a 9� cube and carry through the formal and and conceptual lessons learned, while adressing the realtionships between the elememts.

Observe, experience and represent in drawings conditions of scalar reference to the human body, designed sequences of architectural space and relationships between building and physical context of Newhouse I.

Transform unclased, abstract cube from Ex. 1.2 into a scaled, pavillion and creating a sequence of spaces to be experienced by the occupants.

EXERCISE 3:
Learning from Architecture Exericise 3.1
apply the knowledge they have acquired through Exercises 1 and 2 to the analysis of a significant work of architecture: The Moriyama House. Produce a set of both 3-D and 2-D analytical drawings to understand the following five aspects of the Moriyama House: formal elements, formal operations, sacle, movement, and context.

Configure the terriorty where the artist’s studio will be loacted and claim an individual plot of land.
Exercise 4.2
Research to help calibrate the spaces being built to the specific needs of the art form of photography.
Exercise 4.3
Focus on the relationship between the public space of art exhibition, the private space where the artist lives, and the semi-public space where art is produced
