"I help and teach kids to make a paper kite at Gellert Park. Also, I help them how to fly with them.”

"I had a lot of fun helping set up and facilitate bookmark-creating. I also enjoyed being able to interact with both the parents/guardians and the children of the community. It was really nice seeing the community coming together to participate in celebrating the children in our lives."

"I was stationed at the make your own kite station. We learned two different types of kites to make and helped the children make their own. In addition I helped advertised the kites by flying them around the fair."

On the weekend of July 7th, Lowell Key Club hosted a bake sale to raise money for various causes, such as lowering the costs of FRN for members and for future bonding. At the corner of West Portal, Lowell Key Club sold multiple different baked goods, which included ube shortbread cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and sugar cookies. The most popular were the banana bread and chocolate chip cookies, which sold out.

Lowell Key Club hosted this bake sale, not only as a fundraiser, but as a bonding event for the officers. Officers were able to connect with and inform the public about Key Club and what Key Club does.

There was a lot of support from neighbors and even a previous Lowell Key Club president.

“I really enjoyed being able to meet up with keyclub over the summer for our bake sale because it was nice seeing everyone after a while of not being in school!”

Over the weekend of June 29th, KCTC (Key Club Training Conference) happened at Independence High School in San Jose. Many of our division members showed up along with members from all across Region 17 including D12E , D12S , D12W, D34N , D34C , D34S , and D43 . They heard presentations from LTGs and multiple guest speakers. Attendees learned about how to sharpen their leadership skills. The day included visits from Kiwanis and exciting challenges such as pieing LTGs.
