This is the absolute minimum visual margin you are required to leave around the edge of the logo. Anything placed closer than this will compromise its legibility.

horizontal Logo GENERAL USAGE

This particular format should be the default logo used in most cases. It should be included on all higher impact materials that pertain to Wadsworth Student Ministry. It does not need to be included on every single piece of material produced, but rather on materials that will be leaving the ministry space (ie: any materials sent home with students, given to parents, given to guests, etc.).

In addition to any WSM branding, The Chapel | Wadsworth logo must be included (most commonly as an additional line under the ministry branding: “a ministry of thechapel.life | Wadsworth”) on any materials that will be seen outside of the church, especially with regard to guests. Ministry-specific branding should not be the sole representation of the Wadsworth brand on materials that will be viewed by anyone outside the church body, but rather an accompanying reference. The Wadsworth logo is to be given seniority over any ministry-specific logo, as it is ultimately our goal to extend hospitality to the entire family.

Formatting guidelines

DO NOT ADD ANY OUTLINES, BOXES, OR OUTER GLOWS.

Instead, change the logo’s color (staying within the color scheme, see page 14), alter the background, or add a subtle drop shadow to increase the legibility.

DO NOT DISTORT OR ROTATE (unless it is completely vertical)

Instead, be sure to hold shift while resizing the logo so its original proportions will be preserved.

vertical Logo

GENERAL USAGE

This format should be used in place of the horizontal logo (pg. 4) when horizontal space is limited. It should be viewed as its equivalent in terms of use - included on all higher impact materials , materials that will be leaving the ministry space, etc.

In a similar way to the horizontal logo, The Chapel | Wadsworth logo must also be included on any materials that will be seen outside of the church, especially with regard to guests.

GENERAL USAGE

This format should be used on materials used internally within the ministry, as it doesn’t include any supplementary text with a name and will only be recognized by participants in the ministry. It can be used on any ministry materials, but it should not be the sole representation of the ministry’s branding present if it is to leave the ministry in any capacity.

Formatting guidelines

DO NOT ADD ANY OUTLINES, BOXES, OR OUTER GLOWS.

Instead, change the mark’s color (staying within the color scheme, see page 14), alter the background, or add a subtle drop shadow to increase the legibility.

DO NOT DISTORT OR ROTATE (unless it is completely vertical)

color GENERAL USAGE

Limiting color to the provided standards will help to maintain a consistent visual voice throughout WSM materials. The default color should remain the Wadsworth Campus’ red (top left, #BCE3A3). The default accent color should be the provided orange (top right, #F26724) when needed. The dark red and red orange in the bottom row have also been included in order to provide alternatives when circumstances call for additional or alternative colors.

Standard grey tones have also been provided below to use alongside or in place of the color scheme.

GOTHAM

LIGHT  | BOOK | MEDIUM | BOLD

Gotham is the main typeface you should be using. While more weights exist, we limit ourselves to Light, Book, Medium, and Bold, along with the italic versions of each. Out of all the typefaces we use, Gotham is by far the most optimized to give your text unmatched legibility and clarity, regardless of weight or size.

Body copy should only be set in Gotham Light or Book.

Licensing can be purchased from typography.com for $199. The Gotham 1 Package includes light, book, medium, bold, as well as their respective italic versions.

bebas neue

BOOK | BOLD

Bebas Neue is the secondary typeface. Again, while more weights exist, we limit ourselves to Book and Bold. This typeface should be used for shorter lines of text, such as headings and subheadings, as it becomes increasingly hard to read with more lines.

The typeface can be downloaded for free from fontsquirrel.com. The download package includes thin, light, book, regular, and bold.

Soak Up the Sun

Regular | Bold

Soak Up the Sun is the tertiary typeface. This typeface should be used sparingly for shorter lines of text or single word accents. Due to its script nature, the kerning should not be altered, but rather kept at zero.

The typeface can be downloaded for free from dafontfree.oi. The download package includes regular and bold.

photo usage Chapel photography

Photos taken by Chapel staff photographers and volunteers can be accessed at thechapelgreen.pixieset.com /wadsworthchapel . While photos of our people and our events should be prioritized, be mindful of those in the photos - whether they’ve graduated or left the ministry, any potential complications with including them on promotional materials, etc.

Stock photography

Stock photography is also an option, but as stated above, photos of our people and our events should be prioritized before stock photography is considered. Try to limit stock photography usage to textures, objects, scenery, etc. Free, high quality stock images can be found on unsplash.com and pexels.com

Formatting guidelines

DO NOT DISTORT OR ROTATE .
