Ranging in style from cinematic to spectral, Kirsten Soriano composes for stage, film, and dance. Her works have been presented on public radio, public television, film festivals, and by internationally renowned artists at world-class venues such as Carnegie Hall. She has received recognition from institutions such as the American Composers Forum, New Music USA, and Harvard University and her compositions have been performed by internationally recognized ensembles as the Kronos Quartet, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Music Now Ensemble, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Crossing Contemporary Choir, the International Contemporary Ensemble, the Jack Quartet, and the Verdigris Choral Ensemble. Dr. Soriano is a dynamic and passionate educator with 17 years of experience teaching at the university level. As an infectious leader, energetic community organizer, and innovative entrepreneur, she holds 20 years of experience in academic and arts administration.
