Paula Heath: A Designer’s Journey from New York to New Hampshire
At the heart of Goldsmiths Gallery is Paula Colgan Heath, a visionary designer with an unparalleled eye for elegance. A graduate of the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City, Paula spent over three decades on 7th Avenue, designing breathtaking evening and daywear for renowned labels, including The Kollection Ltd, Joan Leslie, and Maggie London Dress.
Paula’s experience in the fashion industry refined her ability to understand form, texture, and style—a skill that now defines her approach to fine jewelry. Returning to her hometown of Concord in 2005, Paula brought her keen design sensibilities to the world of jewelry.
Paula’s tenure as Gallery Manager at Mark Knipe Goldsmiths deepened her appreciation for the art of fine jewelry, inspiring her to open Goldsmiths Gallery in 2017. Since then, she has curated a collection that blends sophistication, individuality, and artistic excellence.
Paula’s collaborator at Goldsmiths Gallery is Eric Janelle, a highly skilled goldsmith and designer with over twenty-five years of experience. Known for his superb wax carvings and innovative design techniques, Eric specializes in custom jewelry design and fabrication.
Eric’s journey as a goldsmith began with a deep appreciation for metallurgy and gemstone setting. Over the years, he has honed his ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, creating jewelry that is both timeless and unique. His expertise in metalwork allows him to develop intricate and highly personalized designs, making each piece a true work of art.
At Goldsmiths Gallery, Eric works closely with Paula to craft one-of-a-kind creations that reflect the individuality of their clients. His passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail ensure that every piece he creates is of the highest quality, designed to be cherished for a lifetime.

Dr. Kristen Markwith, gives us insight on how her treatments help with sinuses and allergies that affect so many of us!
Affecting the tissue lining your sinus cavity, sinus allergies are not fun to deal with. These sinus allergies cause inflammation and swelling to the tissue, making it hard to breathe through your nose, as well as mucus build up which may lead to a runny nose or postnasal drip.
"Acupuncture treats the symptoms associated with allergies and sinuses by improving blood flow, relaxing the muscles and draining the mucus. We also use O3 Reboot Therapy ™ that works from the inside of the body." says Dr. Markwith. "It's the combination of our therapies within our treatment plans that is the real game changer!”
Trend Acupuncture's O3 Reboot Therapy™ uses a highly active form of oxygen to encourage the body to selfheal from the inside. When paired with acupuncture, the treatments tag team these symptoms for lasting relief. Gene P. tells us his experience!
"I searched on the internet about alternate ways to help with my sinus allergies and acupuncture was one of the top answers. I don't like the side affects of over the counter medications, they make me sleepy, but I want to golf!”
Gene is one of Dr. Markwith’s many patients who golfs on a regular basis. He was so disappointed that he had to cut his games short from the overwhelming pressure build up.
"When I’d seen acupuncture was a top recommendation, I remembered seeing Dr. Markwith's commercial on TV and thought 'this has to be a sign, I have to make an appointment'. I called and was scheduled within the week thankfully!”
Gene spoke with Dr. Markwith and the treatment plan sounded amazing. He started immediately with treatment after his consultation. "After the first 2 weeks, I was able to get through all 18 holes of a golf game without any issues!" said Gene.
"Sometimes, our patients say they notice their congestion lessen during their treatments. Their relief is why I do what I do! I'm here to help those that want help." says Dr. Markwith.
Allergy and sinus season is upon us and if you're like Gene who doesn't like the drowsiness and fatigue after medications, schedule an appointment for consultation with Dr. Markwith.
This lists a few of the allergy symptoms her treatments can treat:
• Runny Nose • Stuffy Nose
• Inflammation • Congestion
• Itchy Eyes
• Scratchy Throat
Acupuncture is usually the last resort with the best results!
