Hallyu Fest 2012 The 2012 Hallyu Festival was successfully held inviting Boyfriend, a KPop idol group as special guests for Kpop Cover Dance Competition. Congratulations to Boys on Fire on their winning on the competition!

Philippine - Korean Exchange Day Korean Cultural Center will be hosting “Philippines-Korea Exchange day” event on August 10th. This event is aimed to let Filipinos and Koreans recognize their reciprocal culture so that they can better understand each other.

Pinoy KPop Star Congratulations to Hadiya Ladip, the winner of Pinoy KPOP Star! The winner will get a chance to represent the Philippines in the K-Pop World Festival in Korea in December, where all the winners of the Korean Cultural Centers around the world will be competing for the coveted crown.

A story of friendship, Sunny is a group of seven girls whose camaraderie blossomed through unusual circumstances. The members reunite 25 years later under different situations following a terrible event that separated them.

Korean celebration for August

CLASS GRADUATION KCC will have a class graduation-recital on August 25, 2012. After three months of hard work, the top three performing students of the language classes will be awarded ‘Certificate of Excellence.’ The same award will be given to one student in all of KCC’s culture classes. Look forward to an exciting day of celebration as students showcase their talent and endearing love for Korean culture.

NEW TERM CLASS REGISTRATION KCC will have its 3rd term class registration immediately after the 2nd term Class Graduation on the 25th of this month. Combining both online an on-site process, KCC aims to accommodate interested Filipinos in learning Korean language and culture. Make sure to check the homepage www.koreanculture.ph for more details.

Gwangbokjeol, celebrated annually on August 15th, is one of the Public holidays in South Korea. The day commemorates the liberation from Japanese Colonical Rules in 1945. On the same day in 1948, the government of the Republic of Korea was established.
