2013 HALLYU FORUM: The new wave of cinema Connections, Convergence and Cooperation
The Embassy of Republic of Korea and Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines will be presenting the 2013 Hallyu Forum at September 17 at the Manila Hotel. The guest panelists consist of filmmakers, government representatives and film industry stakeholders from Korea and the Philippines.

Korean Alphabet Jewelry Exhibition Launch
The fifth leg of the Korean Film Festival will be held in Manila and three satellite locations from September 18 to October 13. Organized by Embassy of Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center, there will be six Korean films to be screened during its run in select SM Malls, which include Green Days, Masquerade, Sunny, A Werewolf Boy, Deranged, and Dancing Queen. The Metro Manila leg will run at SM Megamall from September 18 to September 22, and in SM City Iloilo from September 26 to September 29, 2013. These films will also be screened in SM City Cebu from October 3 to 6, and in SM Lanang Premier in Davao from October 10 to 13. The more excitingly, there is no admission fee! Ready for ex-

CHUSEOK 추석 The opening ceremony for Korean Alphabet Jewelry Exhibition, “Hangeul Meets Jewelry” was successfully held at August 16 with the cutest Gangnam Style dancing of one of our guest, in light of the Gangnam-based jewelry design included in the collection. The Korean Alphabet Jewelry exhibition will run until November 30, 2013, at Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines.
CLASS GRADUATION Second term closes
The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines held its graduation ceremony as the second term closes last August 31 at the Korean Wave Hall, KCC. Originally slated for the 24th, the ceremony was rescheduled due to the incessant rains. As per custom, the graduation ceremony was comprised of performance numbers from each class, as well as an awarding ceremony for the best performing student and appreciation for teachers.

August 15th in the lunar calendar. Chuseok, often called as Hangawi, is a three-day holiday in Korea, celebrating the end of harvest and plenty of fresh and good food after harvest. Although many of Koreans do not live with their families or relatives nowadays, in Chuseok, people visit their families, gather around, eat fine food, and enjoy their time with the people they love. In 2013, Chuseok is September 19, and Chuseok holiday is from 18 to 20.
