Customer Obsessed. was founded by Kevin Stevens, a Fellow of the UK’s Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, who went on to assemble an impressive prime commercial real estate investment portfolio, comprising of three million square feet of industrial property across the UK that was sold to VBR Investments and ultimately to Goldman Sachs. With over 30 years’ experience in private and commercial real estate and development. Kevin Stevens was unstoppable in his success until one day a life-threatening accident changed everything. During his long period of recovery, he had time to carefully consider and reflect on his business interests and emerged recharged and inspired to start a new stage in his career.
Quality Focused. He formed E5 Holding in 2012, which is based in Switzerland, to which he brings his passion, extensive experience, expertise and vision. Kevin’s international entrepreneurial success and flair is enabling the development of the E5 Group that currently spans Switzerland, the UK and Spain with four divisions belonging to the Holding Company. Driven by his desire to create and to diversify his business activities into other sectors of real estate, he embarked on developing and investing in high-end residential properties as well as macro projects in the areas of mining and residential health care.

Taking to the water As you would expect on an island, water plays a big part in sports activities; for sailors there are 47 ports and marinas with leading superyacht marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano in the southwest region and Club de Mar and Real Club Nautico in Palma. Being on water and having fun is all part of the island’s offer. If you want to improve your boat handling skills there are plenty of courses. Plus a complete range of water sports in every resort or marina and in the majority you can rent motorboats, jet skis, surf boards, paddleboards, windsurf boards or try your hand at water skiing or scuba diving. If you want to spend a whole day on the water, yacht charters are popular with lunch on board.

The History of Mallorca Over the years Mallorca has been “discovered” by many interesting people from composers and painters to royals, statesmen, movie stars and sporting heroes. Here are some snippets about some of the island’s famous visitors and residents over the years.
Composing in Valldemossa In 1838 Frederick Chopin visited the island with his French lover, George Sand and her children, who scandalised the locals, not only by the fact that she was not married to Chopin, but by also wearing bloomers

As the winter took hold, the great composer’s health worsened and he was exiled to the Carthusian Monastery in Valldemossa and there he wrote the “Raindrop Preludes” among other great compositions. Although forced to leave as his health worsened, he left behind his piano, which is on display today, and an enduring legacy of music celebrated at the International Chopin Festival that takes place in the cloisters of the Valldemossa Monastery every summer.

A Voyage of Discovery The island’s most famous explorer, was the Austrian, Archduke Ludwig Salvator, who travelled in pursuit of his scientific studies throughout the Mediterranean on his yacht “Nixe”. He discovered the Balearic Islands in 1867 and the wild beauty of Mallorca and the kindness of the locals inspired him to settle on the island three years later. He particularly loved the west coast of the island and one of the properties he acquired in 1867 was “S’Estaca” which was intended as a gift for his girlfriend, a local Mallorquin, Catalina Homar. He proceeded to redevelop the estate along the lines of a residence he had seen in the Aeolian Islands in the style of a “Moorish” palace. In 1989 the Hollywood actor, Michael Douglas, acquired the property with his first wife. A fan of the work of the Archduke, he became actively involved in promoting the area renamed “Costa Nord” and like the Archduke Salvator, Douglas is well regarded by the locals to the extent that they have affectionately nicknamed him “Miquel de S’Estaca”. Sleep in Winston Churchill’s Special Suite Literally thousands of famous statesmen have visited Mallorca throughout the century, including Winston Churchill who stayed at the Hotel Formentor in 1935 in room 222 to prepare work for his Nobel Prize. Visitors can still reserve the same room although his bed has been kept for posterity by the family who opened the hotel in 1929 — the first luxury hotel in the area.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono Arrested on Mallorca In 1971 Mallorquin police had the unnerving task of arresting possibly two of the most famous people in the pop world at that time. John Lennon and Yoko Ono were accused of kidnapping Yoko Ono’s daughter, who was a resident on the island at that time. Lennon and Ono were both released without charges after a seven-hour hearing. Today, the island remains a favourite location, not only for celebrities, but also for filmmakers making cutting edge drama such as the BBC’s “The Night Manager” to the popular television “Love Island” series and many famous advertisements that are screened all over the world.
