BASIC IMPLANT TRAINING COURSE HANDS ON & LIVE SURGERY Dec. 3rd(Sat.), 4th(Sun.) 11th(Sun.)2016
COURSE OBJECTIVES This basic implant course will teach doctors to surgically place and restore dental implants in their dental practice. Upon completion of this course, each doctor should be able to identify ideal implant candidates as well as diagnose & treatment plan ideal implant case types. An emphasis will be given to hands-on training including the use of typodent models. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform a live implant surgery under the supervision of the course instructors.
COURSE OUTLINE ✓ Review of anatomic considerations in implant surgery ✓ Criteria for selecting the ideal candidate and case ✓ Understanding the use of radiographic & surgical guides ✓ Basic surgical techniques in implant dentistry, including flap design, soft tissue management, and suturing ✓ Impression techniques and discussion of the various restorative options during the prosthetic phase ✓ Hands-on training in both the surgical and prosthetic phase of implant dentistry ✓ Live implant surgery performed under the supervision of course faculty
COURSE SPEAKER Dr. Jin Kim, DDS, completed a B.A. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology emphasis in Cell Development Biology from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Kim attended New York University, NY where he received his D.D.S. degree. He continued his specialty training in prosthodontics at the USC School of Dentistry. In 2005-08 he was appointed Associate Professor in prosthodontics at USC. Dr. Jin Kim is a board eligible Prosthodontist and is working on board certification. In addition to being a member of various local and national dental organizations, Dr. Kim also has a heart for teaching fellow doctors and has lectured extensively nationally. He is involved with implant training programs with a number of dental implant manufacturers and organizations. He is in private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Simi Valley, California.
