BASIC IMPLANT TRAINING COURSE With HANDS ON Mar. 11th (Sat.), 12th(Sun.) 2017
COURSE OBJECTIVES This basic implant course will teach doctors to surgically place and restore dental implants in their dental practice. Upon completion of this course, each doctor should be able to identify ideal implant candidates as well as diagnose & treatment plan ideal implant case types. An emphasis will be given to hands-on training including the use of typodent and pig jaw models. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform a live implant surgery under the supervision of the course instructors.

Review of anatomic considerations in implant surgery Criteria for selecting the ideal candidate and case Understanding the use of radiographic & surgical guidesgical guides Basic surgical techniques in implant dentistry, including flap design, soft tissue management, and suturing Impression techniques and discussion of the various restortive options during the prosthetic phase Hands-on training in both the surgical and prosthetic phase of implant dentistry
COURSE SPEAKER Dr. Peter Shatz is a world renowned Periodontist who trains dentists nationally and internationally in the areas of periodontal care, dental implants and guided tissue regeneration. He enjoys getting to know his patients, treating them like family and building strong relationships. The overall oral health of his patients is his top priority, communicating with his patients in a relatable way so they are comfortable with treatment and know what to expect. Warm and welcoming, Dr. Shatz is sure to make any uneasy or nervous patient feel comfortable and confident with their smile.
