Museum of You is the museum where you can tell your their life stories in different media: video, images, text, audio,... The stories should be about significant events that define you, make you who you are today and help you understand yourself better. They can be sad, beautiful, frantic, exhausting, inspiring, touching,.. but as long as they are an important part of your life, we want to capture that. “You tell it. We keep it.

Each person can have three stories displayed in the physical museum and ten in the online museum. This limit helps maintain the quality of the museum and pushes the participants to submit only the best stories. When submitting a story, the participant should tag relevant people and keywords to help create connections with other people’s museums. Each month a museum will be featured based on the quality of the stories submitted.
VISUAL IDENTITY
INSPIRATION / Museum of You visual identity is inspired by Chinese tangram. The tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes.
COLOR PALETTE / A pastel color palette, which reminds us of our childhood when we first start painting with pastels, was chosen to enhance the“rediscovery of self concept.
FINAL LOGO /
YOU T E L L IT. W E K E E P IT.
FLEXIBLE IDENTITY / The shapes of the letters Y, O, U can be rearranged like a child’s building set to create different faces, different emotions. This reflects the “rediscovery of self”, the fun side of this unconventional museum and also provides a delightful, rewarding customer experience.
MEMBER MAGAZINE
Museum of You’s quarterly magazine is called DOTS, as the museum‘s mission is to help people connecting the dots in their lives and help them connect with other people who share the same stories. Each issue’s cover is also a dot infographic of relevant statistics. The magazine features members’ stories and offers in-depth look at the art of storytelling, the human relationships in modern world and important events and updates from the museum.

A set of patterns was designed based on the color palette and elements of the museum’s visual identity. These patterns can be applied on gift wrapping paper, boxes, bags and other items. The faces created from the logo will also be put on stickers.
