When & how did you meet? We met a long, long time ago… in the eighth grade. After middle school, we both chose to attend Kellenberg for high school and rode the bus to school together every day (until we could drive)! We remained together through high school and beyond, developing friendships with our classmates that have lasted a lifetime.

When & where were you married? We were married on May 30, 2015, at St. Frances de Chantal in Wantagh, NY. Eric Meisse ’06 served as the best man and Colleen (Sheridan) Meyers ’06 served as the maid of honor. Many other Firebirds stood by us that day, both on the altar AND the dance floor! What is one of the best lessons you each learned during your time at Kellenberg? Kellenberg taught us both so much, but one of the most important lessons we’ve kept to this day is the importance of community over self. In order to live fulfilling and happy lives, we’ve tried to always be active members of the communities around us. Whether it be where we live and work or our children’s schools and activities, we try to dedicate our time and efforts to help others, especially those who are in need.

There are many Firebird alumni who have entered into the covenant of marriage together. What about your time at Kellenberg helped prepare you to make & keep the promise of being “true to your spouse in good times & in bad, in sickness & in health?” Kellenberg’s commitment to faith development has been the cornerstone of our marriage. By building our faith at Kellenberg we learned the importance of trust and unconditional love. Whenever we are faced with challenges, we remember the love we have for one another and trust that we are always doing what is best for one another.
