I am very proud to have attended a school where academic excellence and morality go hand-in-hand. I am impressed to see so many Kellenberg graduates who after college have returned to teach. Fond memories and strengthened faith gained while they were students draw them back and inspire them to pass the legacy on to others. My goal is to reunite alumni with each other in support of KMHS’s ever-growing community.”

I look back at my time at Kellenberg full of gratitude for what it gave to me and what I one day hope it will give to my son. I look forward to working with my fellow alumni to help the school continue to grow and fulfill its mission.”

ALUMNI HELPING HANDS

On October 30, Firebird alumni came together for a day of service at Stella Maris Retreat House, Kellenberg Memorial’s home for day retreats for students in grades six through twelve located in Islip, NY. Spanning over five acres, the property is in constant need of beautification and maintenance. Alumni worked outside on landscaping and gardening projects, as well as cleaning and painting the inside of the house. Brother Kenneth Hoagland, S.M. took part in the day’s activities and noted, “Because of the hard work of our alumni volunteers, we will be able to complete a full renovation of the bathroom in the house in time for winter retreats. I am so grateful for the generosity of time that our alumni shared for this inaugural ‘Helping Hands’ event.” Left to right, then from bottom to top of stairs: Mr. Kevin Hardy, Eddie Jordan ’13, Domenico Carroll ’18, Steven Reiser ’16, Brother Kenneth Hoagland, S.M., Anthony Cantelmo ’97, Saralee (Martelly) Good ’11, Amanda Green ’11, Alexia (Santiago) Giampaolo ’11, Mr. Thomas Huggard, Mrs. Marcy (Fernandez) Fiore ’09, Jada Isaac-Thomas ’21, Kerry Skinner ’19, Diana Sayers ’20, Brianna Cespedes ’18, Jillian Iovine-Riccardo ’18, and Jaide Ednie ’21.
