Welcome/Thank You
Thank you for answering the noble call to partner with us in such a critical role. We are grateful for your willingness to extend Biblical hospitality in inviting more people to hear about and partner in this fight for families and for Life. We pray that this experience will be a blessing to you and that the Lord will use your willingness to serve Him in ways far beyond what you have imagined.
The purpose of our annual gala is to share about our ministry and invite guests to partner with us. It is our largest fundraiser. Therefore, it is imperative that those who attend realize that this is a FUNDRAISING dinner and an opportunity for financial giving and pledges will be extended at the end of the night. There are no minimums or maximums with respect to contributions. What people choose to give is their personal decision; however, those who have the capability to give $150 or more would be good prospects for the gala. It is our hope that every seat that night will be filled with individuals who may be open to this life-affirming work and who will be moved to financially partner with us to save lives and families across Houston. With deepest regards, Debbie Simmons, CEO

2019 goals
Full Medical Conversion of our Pregnancy Service Center - $35,000
One of our goals for 2018 was to fully convert our pregnancy service center to a full medical facility. Converting to full medical will allow us to expand our services to include well women exams (pap smears, clinical breast exams and pelvic exams), a multitude of STD/STI tests, abstinence education and referrals for chronic health issues. To date, we are approximately half way through our conversion process. Our credentialing is almost complete for our counselor and nurse practitioner. Dr. Rose Benny has also agreed to join with us and serve as our Medical Director. As we enter the fall, we will be updating our medical procedures to cover these additional services and setting up our billing/ administrative side of the business. Our credentialing team will also work with us to ensure that Dr. Benny is included on all our contracts. We will begin to see our first clients for full service during the fall and look forward to many more in the years to come. This investment in our upgrade will cover the one-time startup costs of making this transition. The startup costs include necessary medical and office equipment, additional staff and hours, credentialing and billing/administrative set up. Our original start-up request for 2018 was for $75,000. We are still in need of approximately $35,000 to help us complete this conversion. Once operational with credentialed providers, Anchor Point will be able to create a self-sustaining model by billing for services through the State of Texas, Medicaid and private insurers. This will allow us to continue offering free services as necessary for those who cannot afford them and to expand our crisis pregnancy and family services.
Additional Teaching Staff for EMA - $25,000 In January, we were blessed to bring Excellent Minds Academy under us as a division of Anchor Point. This allows us to expand our reach to families dealing with kids that are struggling. The Anchor Point Board saw this as an opportunity to create a trauma informed school in the heart of Clear Lake that can serve as a shining example of how to help a kid thrive. The school currently serves 1st through 8th grade. Excellent Minds Academy is for high functioning students with learning disabilities and/or disorders, as well as general education students who do not function well in large classroom settings. The EMA team works closely with our Family Services Division to create an environment free of fear where every child can learn, grow and thrive. In 2018, we were able to bring the School Director, Christine Welsh, onto our paid staff and to cover the additional rental expense of our newly leased facility. As we go into the 2018-2019 school year, we will be adding another teacher to help with the growing number of children. This additional staff expense will be a onetime start up cost of expanding another classroom. As we build the number of students in the class, we will be able to sustain the teacher for the long-term.
Relocation of our Pregnancy Service Center - $30,000 In April, we were notified that our lease will expire end of March 2019 and there is not an opportunity for us to stay at our current location. We are beginning the process of looking for additional space that can house a minimum of our pregnancy center and allow for expansion of our medical services. Our estimated cost for buildout of a new location is $30,000 which is over and above our current budget. championing the future of children by educating and empowering parents because no one is beyond hope

Who should I invite?
Thank you
for taking on the vital role of hosting a table for this important event in the life of Anchor Point. Your role is not only appreciated; it is also keenly important to this event’s success. As you consider whom to invite, here are some tips and ideas:
Consider those who believe in life We are looking for your friends and acquaintances who—if they knew more about the ministry—would be inclined to support Anchor Point financially. Keep in mind that, if possible, we’re looking for new, first-time attendees. There are many people in our area—in your Sunday school class, small group, business or Bible study—who believe as you do in the sanctity of human life and in sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
Consider the heart God looks at the heart and we know you do as well. Look for hearts that are open and generous. We can find generous people in all walks of life from the wealthy to those who are living on a tight budget. In addition, we can look to friends of all ages, from the young couple just starting out to those who are happily retired.
A few thoughts as we consider who to invite:
Invite the entire team
When it comes to married couples, we want both husband and wife to attend. A couple makes financial decisions together and as the focus of our event is raising funds to build the future of Anchor Point, it is imperative that the entire “team” is on-hand to make a wise decision.
We love children and youth, yet . . .
We do love babies, children and youth—they are gifts! On this night, we want to raise the funds necessary so that future children gain the gift of life. For this reason, we need adults only—so that as many as possible have an opportunity to support this ministry financially—and build a culture of life and family here in the greater Houston Area.
Pray as we invite
As we consider who to ask, let’s make each invitation a matter of prayer. God might show us someone with an open heart in the most unlikely places. As we are open to His direction, we look forward to His hand leading us to the right people with a joyful desire to take this ministry exactly where God wants us to go. championing the future of children by educating and empowering parents because no one is beyond hope
