2-YEAR-OLD BULLS

Expansive rib shape, with the disposition of a puppy dog. This guy will produce pounds of calf and females to build a herd around. Seven Baltic sons averaged over $4,600 in last year’s sale. I thought this bull was the best of the bunch so we retained him to use on our cows for a year. His dam is a sweet, moderate framed cow backed by herd matriarch, J6 855, that raised several herd bulls. Between her direct progeny and grandsons she has produced over $100K in bull sales. Bull can be used on heifers. Paternal brothers sell as lots 16-18.

Long, stylish and gentle. Should make a lot of friends on sale day.

Terminally oriented genetics. What I’m suggesting is this dude is made to produce pounds of calves that all should go on to the plate. You’ll love this guy’s calves come weaning time. Not for heifer use.

Three generations deep in calving ease genetics, with an own 64 lb. BW, ensures a heifer safe bull. Maternal grandam is a superb cow, she is still going strong at 12-years-old.

J6 Goldmine 989

Really like this bull, I had him in the line-up last year, but he got hurt before the sale. He is really maturing well. He has a big scrotal, which will pass on fertility to his daughters. He is straight black and his calves will show zero BM influence. Backed by a long line of productive females. These Beefmaster cattle are so good in so many ways, especially on the female side. You just don’t want to advertise it on sale day, and you won’t have to use these 1/4 blood bulls. Will not turn two until May.

J6 Goldmine 5099

Another 1/4 BM that comes recommended for heifer use. Beefmasters are a lot like Mormons, generally really good, but nobody really wants to claim one. Bull was born and raised in Lund, Nevada, so he knows how to handle tough conditions. His 8-year-old dam is a great cow.

Lots 21-28 represent the long yearling section of the bulls. These guys can handle a heavy workload. They were born and raised in the rocks and hills of the Utah ranch. They are all backed by a longtime set of fall calving cows. For the guys who can only run bulls to a certain age on their ranges, these bulls can be considered 2022 models.

J6 Baltic 643

Starting off the fall bulls, with a dandy. With a REA epd in the top 10% of the breed, this bull will thicken up a set of cows. Probably a little too much gas in this guy to want to keep heifers out of, but if you like bigger cows, or women, his daughters won’t bug you.

Very similar to his brother in lot 21 take them both home you’ll be glad you did.

Maternal half brother sold to Blake Morgan for $5,250 in last year’s sale. Poor old Blake is married to a Roche, so he needs cattle with a good disposition, and this bull has that.

J6 Baltic 8154

A calving ease bull that is low to the ground, long and a female making machine - a lot like Jeff Roche. This 3-way cross bull will mature into a physical specimen. Dam weaned nearly 70% of her body weight in this bull.

J6 Turning Point 962

Maternal grandam lived to be old enough to gamble legally in Vegas. That’s actually a true story - she weaned 19 calves. This bull is moderate framed female maker that can be used on heifers. For all you guys that get excited to go up and spend twice as much money on bulls in Montana, this bull’s sire was bred and raised by the Stevenson ranch of Hobson, MT.

Ribeye 123

J6

J6 Ribeye is a bull we owned, raised, sold and owned again. He was out top seller a few years back to our good friends, Lou & Teresa Andersen. They used him for several years then we bought him back and have used him for the past two. This bull is incredible in terms of siring top notch heifers and docile, performing sons. He is a very moderate framed bull that we cannot get in a chute because he’s so wide! We have around 25 daughters from this bull and have used many of his sons and will continue to do so for many years. He’s the absolute best for incorporating Hereford genetics. We do sell semen on this bull let us know if your interested.

J6 Ribeye 8117

Very stout made bull that packs 8 lbs. of sugar in a 5 lb. sack. His maternal grandam, J6 550 by Dual Focus, is a good one. Bull will have all carcass and maternal index numbers a guy could ever want; all in the top 10% of the breed.

J6 Ribeye 6048

This bull very closely resembles his incredible sire. Ribeye has progeny in many herds across the West, and we’ve never heard a complaint on a Ribeye sired bull. These Ribeye cattle are so good for all the most economically important reasons: fertility and longevity, including steer calves that will perform in all segments of the feeding industry.

J6 Trask 8106

A 3/4 blood Hereford. For you guys that have a fancy set of mostly black Angus heifers, this bull would cross up like a dream on them. Bull is extreme calving ease genetics. His mother is a super good BWF cow sired by ABS Hereford bull R294.
