Dear Members and Guests,
Fall is the best time to get out on the golf course The hot summer days are gone, and now we’ve got that perfect, cool weather that makes golfing a real pleasure The air is fresh, the sun isn’t as harsh, and there’s usually a nice breeze to keep things comfortable
The fall colors are what really make it special, though The courses look amazing with all those reds, oranges, and yellows It turns every round into a scenic experience And with summer vacations over and kids back in school, the courses aren’t as crowded You can take your time, enjoy the game, and work on your swing without feeling rushed Plus, the greens are in great shape this time of year, so it’s a good chance to really enjoy some quality golf
Fall is also a good time to think about your game and set some new goals as the year wraps up. Whether you’re playing a casual round with friends or in a tournament, there’s something special about golf this time of year.
Exciting news! Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe are excited to participate in the KemperSports Holein-One promotion, giving golfers a chance to win a getaway to Streamsong Resort for a hole-in-one made by October 31, 2024 The prize includes a one-night stay and a round of golf, with options to extend the stay at discounted rates The trip is redeemable between October 1, 2024, and January 9, 2025 For more details, click HERE

Q School at Champions Pointe
We are thrilled to announce that Champions Pointe Golf Club will be hosting Stage One of Q-School this September! This prestigious event brings together talented golfers from around the country, all playing for a chance to advance to the next stage and ultimately earn their spot on the professional tour. It’s a fantastic opportunity for spectators to witness high-level competition and see some of golf's future stars in action. Please note that while spectators are warmly welcomed to join us and enjoy the event, spectator carts will not be permitted on the course
What is Q-School?
Q-School, or Qualifying School, is a critical series of tournaments in the world of professional golf. It serves as a gateway for aspiring golfers to gain membership on the professional tour, such as the Korn Ferry Tour or PGA Tour. The competition is intense, with each stage serving as a grueling test of skill, endurance, and mental toughness. Players must navigate multiple rounds over several days, with only the top performers advancing. For many golfers, Q-School represents the dream of turning professional and competing at the highest levels of the sport Come join us at Champions Pointe to experience the excitement, tension, and incredible skill on display at this year’s Q-School!
Folds of Honor Scholarship Fund Drive
We’d like to express our deep gratitude to the entire team for their hard work this summer in supporting Folds of Honor David Krueger and Paul Klingensmith manned the first tee at Covered Bridge during Memorial Day weekend At Champions Pointe, Kyle Crater and Chris Curry led the charge, ensuring every donation opportunity was captured Chris Rosio’s efforts in securing a Folds of Honor golf bag brought in additional funds Special thanks to Chris Touhey for his leadership and unwavering support Lastly, a big thank you to Dave Shanks for his exceptional coordination and dedication in organizing the entire Folds of Honor initiative His efforts ensured the seamless execution of all fundraising activities
We’re still awaiting a few pledges, but so far, the breakdown is as follows:

Coin sales throughout the summer: $50000
Labor Day Weekend at Champions Pointe: $4,14000
Champions Pointe member Scott Bogdon secured a dollar-for-dollar matching sponsorship from Prudential Financial Services, up to $5,000
This brings our total to $12,013 Once we receive the Prudential check, we’ll coordinate a presentation with Scott and send all donations to Folds of Honor
