Matthew Kennedy

Matthew Kennedy’s music contains disarming clarity and simplicity, often seeking out dark places with an uninhibited wonder and spirit of exploration. Recent activities include performances and commissions by Fresh Inc. Festival, University of South Florida New Music Festival, Northwestern University New Music Conference, ASCAP, SCI, and bassist Robert Black. Matthew is on faculty at The Hartt School, teaching pre-college Composition and Theory. He and his wife, currently reside in Newington, CT with their two daughters, Ivy and Amelia.
